Lack of Integrity and Poor Customer Service I had a bad experience with this service center. I own a 2012 VW CC Sport with under 13,000 miles, and I brought my car in for 2 repair items under t I had a bad experience with this service center. I own a 2012 VW CC Sport with under 13,000 miles, and I brought my car in for 2 repair items under the Original Factory Bumper to Bumper Warranty. Both problems seemed like no brainers to me, a faulty washer fluid sensor and a sagging roof liner. After explaining in detail the problems over the phone and dropping it off for several days, I was astounded to find that they declined both repairs when I went to pick it up. The reasons behind their refusal were almost out of a comic book. The explanation I got on why they wouldn't repair the washer fluid sensor...was because I used the wrong brand of washer fluid! According to Volkswagen, if you use various brands of washer fluids, the sensor could fail and subsequently render the item void of the warranty. This is the only car I've ever heard of where you can't use generic washer fluid purchased at an auto parts store. Baffled, I argued that I used standard washer fluid, but apparently using washer fluid will void the vehicle warranty. Imagine that. Their estimate to replace the sensor was $280....for the sensor. Appalling. Then we discussed the sagging roof liner. The roof liner is separating towards the rear of the car causing it to sag, the reading light to sag, and partial visual obstruction out the rear window. Their explanation word for word was "found headliner operating to manufacturer's standards". I'm sure sagging, gaps, and visual obstruction from a headliner on a car with under 13,000 miles does not correlate to manufacturers specs. This is a clear example of Volkswagen turning their backs on their customers and not standing by their product. A malfunctioning sensor and sagging roof liner are both items that any other auto manufacturer would cover, but not Volkswagen. As a 2nd time owner of a Volkswagen automobile, I am disgusted at the scam artist feel I got when dealing with this service center. Rather than standing behind their vehicle warranty responsibilities, they craft up sad excuses that insult the intelligence of their customers, and bill outrageous amounts for simple repairs. I was warned not to buy a Volkswagen for these reasons, and will probably never buy one again. Shame on you Bayside Volkswagen, these obvious warranty items cost you a future loyal customer. I will never service my car with this organization, and will do my best to warn others of my experience. More
Excellent Service! EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! I brought my GLI in on Thursday afternoon, just before the Memorial Day Weekend. I showed up unannounced because my engine light EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! I brought my GLI in on Thursday afternoon, just before the Memorial Day Weekend. I showed up unannounced because my engine light and EPC lights suddenly started to glow while I was driving nearby, perhaps only a mile from the service area. I explained that I had weekend hotel reservations....two couples going away....needed the car....etc. Even though it was a very busy holiday weekend rush, they took pity on me and agreed to emergency service my car. It was ready the next day, around 10 am. Excellent!!! Bayside Service took me home and picked me up with their courtesy car, driven carefully and reassuringly by Desmond, a first class chauffeur. A SHOUT OUT to ANTHONY BASILE, Service Advisor at Bayside Volkswagen Service, who took care of me as though I were his dad! Courteous, helpful, quick, friendly, considerate....etc. The best there is! EXCELLENT SERVICE! All under warrantee, all done first class. Kudos to Bayside Volkswagen service! More

I schedule service for my VW Passat usually once a year since I purchased it. Every time I have been to the service center at 31 Watermill Lane my experience has been very good. The last time I brought m since I purchased it. Every time I have been to the service center at 31 Watermill Lane my experience has been very good. The last time I brought my car to this location was in December of 2013.I worked with Chris Albanese and he was very clear about the service required. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything that is being done to my car. I have found everyone at this location to be very friendly and very professional. I have used the shuttle service also and have found the drivers and this service to be a great asset to having my car serviced at this location. More
