I have purchased two cars from this dealership. My first purchase in 2008 was an unforgettable positive experience with Evelyn Laski who was my sales person. Due to the great service in 2008, I came back this February to purchase a brand new 2012 GTI. This time, Evelyn was unavailable so Jack Depalo assisted me with my needs. He was extremely pleasant, he understood my budget needs and worked with me to make sure I was at a comfortable monthly payment without having to compromise the features I wanted in my car. Despite being there on a busy Saturday, Jack did a great job at not making me feel rushed. When I was ready to pick up the car and finalize the deal, I met Angelo Alexiades(Finance Manager), he also excelled my expectations. He went over the entire contract very thoroughly. The car was ready by the time I arrived, however, I noticed a small scratch on one of the wheels so Angelo asked to have it switched immediately. It was overall a great experience. The only manner in which people should be treated when making such an important purchase. When I purchase a car, I expect great service, I expect for the seller to want my business, and Bayside Volkswagen continues to exceed my car buying experience expectations. More

Upon reflection- given the economy, the New York Shtick, the other unsavory dealerships not to mention my deluge of enquiries, this team on balance did a fine job! As this is my first vehicle in a sports car class, I must give special kudos to Angelo for his patience and insights on low profile wheel dimensions and aerodynamics. The staff was very polite (and very, very nice) and they treated us like we were their ONLY customers of the day. We were given a GREAT deal (we came in on President's Day...) and they were certainly far more accommodating than they needed to be. Our salesperson (John) was 'straight' with us about the features that were worth spending the money on (based on our needs), and which would be a waste of our time. I really appreciated that, and from the beginning, they did not treat us as if our ONLY purpose to them was make a sale. John treated us as if we were 'old friends', and he were 'helping us out' with taking care of something very important. More

My husband and I had a horrible experience at another dealer (not volkswagon) and were looking for a new vehicle for me, as I am the primary driver. My lease was coming to an end, and we looked as simpl dealer (not volkswagon) and were looking for a new vehicle for me, as I am the primary driver. My lease was coming to an end, and we looked as simply trading in for a new model of the same car. Unfortunately, we were treated very poorly at the dealership where I had obtained that vehicle. My husband's family has had some positive experience with German cars, so we decided to look into Volkswagon. We walked into Bayside Volkswagon and were greeted warmly, asked which vehicles we were interested in, and a sales associate was immediately paged to meet us. John Albanese took great care of us, made sure all our questions were answered, and ran various permutations of finance options so that we would get the best possible deal. We had origally gone to look at the Tiguan, but found that it was a tad out of our desired price range, and we focused on the Jetta. It was the best decision we could make! For less out of pocket, and a smaller monthly lease payment we were able to afford a Jetta SE with all the cool toys that we would want (none of which was offered on the vehicle that I was currently leasing). On the evening that we took delivery of our vehicle, John A. drove to the other dealership to pick us up (I had to turn in that lease vehicle) and made sure they didn't keep us too long. The final paperwork was handled quite quickly and effectively by Angelo, and we were able to leave with our new car in very short time, after John A. spent a while with us to make sure we knew where all the buttons were and what they did. He even ensured that my phone was linked up with the car's bluetooth, before he left us. Overall, this was less like leasing a new vehicle with all the hoops one has to jump through, and more like spending time with some friends who only want the best for you! More
