This has been the worst experience ever for buying a car. I have been a loyal customer to Vw let alone Vw of bayside as my family has owned vw's and have purchased parts from Vw of bayside for years. On I have been a loyal customer to Vw let alone Vw of bayside as my family has owned vw's and have purchased parts from Vw of bayside for years. On Saturday December 15th my husband went to bayside to check out a Tiguan we thought was suitable for our family. We made a second trip on Sunday My husband, daughter (13months) and I thinking we had finally found the car we wanted. We spent 3hours in this dealership with Shahar took the car out for a test drive, negotiated, gave all my information & a deposit. We left the dealership excited and with what we thought was a Christmas gift. On Monday December 17th @ 2pm as I was getting the money together I receive a phone call telling me "there is a problem, the car you wanted has been SOLD for a week". I was beyond upset. I waisted my time gave my information left a deposit for NOTHING. To be honest i consider this FRAUD. On Monday night I go there for an explanation & refund for my money. They did not want to refund my money because there was no one there to refund my money. My money should have been refunded @ 2pm when they told me I had no car. they were able to refund. They had nothing else to offer and there is no comunication in this dealership words of the manager David. This is not how anyone should want to do business. I will never do business with them even if they have the best deal in town. How can you not keep track of your inventory? How can a manager sign off on a non existent deal? More

That was the first time I had took a trip to Bayside Volkswagen, and left with a brand new car, exactly how I wanted it. Unfortunately, the dealer that sold me the car does not show up above with the list of employees, and I have forgotten his name. As for the service department, it was a little disappointing when I was told to come down for a 5 minute procedure to fix a vent, and when I arrived I had to make an appointment for another day, and it took over an hour for the service. I am also waiting on a call back for a part for my car. More
Came in to trade in my old car and get a new car. Everything seemed smooth at first, but they refused to issue me a check for my used car and avoided the topic during the process all together. State Everything seemed smooth at first, but they refused to issue me a check for my used car and avoided the topic during the process all together. Stated that they don't get funding until the end of the week and will only then give me the check. Unbelievably rude! Wasted my entire day! Stay away from them. I can't imagine any one leaving them any positive review, must be all fake. More
After plenty of phone calls and doing everything in my power to make this an easy transaction, I was still pushed aside and made to wait for over 2 hours in the SIGN and drive event. I sent over a credit power to make this an easy transaction, I was still pushed aside and made to wait for over 2 hours in the SIGN and drive event. I sent over a credit app. and copy of drivers license and was told they are squeezing me in and its like visiting the doctors office. Even when I called to place a complaint with the sales manager I was told, "your only waiting an hour and a half?" This was my 3rd time leasing a vehicle from Bayside VW. The first 2 times I was in and out in about a half hour. The 3rd time is not the charm. Sally, who I found out the hard way is not even a salesperson and James is extremely unprofessional and think they are doing the public a favor. I lost 2 cars due to Hurricane Sally and I will be buying my 2nd car somewhere else. P.S. I would have paid more to make an easy transaction. More
When I first walked into Bayside Volkswagen I felt that I When I first walked into Bayside Volkswagen I felt that I was finally going to get the car that I wanted and I felt a sense of relief. After viewing When I first walked into Bayside Volkswagen I felt that I was finally going to get the car that I wanted and I felt a sense of relief. After viewing there inventory on the lot I found the exact car that I wanted. I went car shopping on a Sunday and I was really hoping to bring the car home with me that day since I was going day to day with the rental car and it was beginning to get quite expensive. Once I told the salesman that I wanted the car he immediately brought me to one the sales managers who then phoned someone from finance to come in for the day to set up my loan. This seemed like a good impression that someone would come in on there day off to finance me. I had a good feeling until it came down time to talk about the price. I had $5,000 to put down on a car. I am only a 22 year old and I am a college student. I have good credit but because of my age it is light. (Meaning I don’t own a home) I had financed my last car in my own name so I knew it was possible. I hadn’t ever made a late payment and my previous car had been paid off by me. The agreed purchase price was $17,000. When it came down to the paperwork I saw that the number on the paperwork was $17,500 which Denise said was additional for “servicing fees” which were then included again at the end. I was blind to this at the time as I was eager to purchase a car. I was told that it was MANDITORY for me to purchase a bumper to bumper warranty but if I never used the warranty that my money would be given back after the five years. Complete lie! I couldn’t just get the basic package I also had to get the premium package. With taxes and fees and this bs warranty the total purchase price was close to $22,000! I didn’t find this out until I called continuously for weeks to speak with Denise about getting the final paper work. I called and each time I called she was busy and never once returned my calls until I called and asked to speak to a manager. I also haven’t received the second set of keys to my car which was promised to me a month ago! BEWARE of this dealership. Read everything in print and make sure you get copies of everything and get everything you need before you leave! Worst experience of my life! I left with a great car but paid $5000 more then I should have! More
Was looking for a Nissan Maxima which they had and advertised for 17,995. Called and spoke with Peter After talking, he said internet was lowest price for the car which was fine since it was a decent advertised for 17,995. Called and spoke with Peter After talking, he said internet was lowest price for the car which was fine since it was a decent price. The deal was for that price. Since I was a long distance buyer, I asked for some additional photos of the car. Peter told me could could not do it but a manager could. I called the next day and spoke with manager who said he would. He never did that day or the day after. I called back and told Peter I had yet to receive the photos. He said he would talk to the manager. Later I got an email which said manger would not sell car at that price and it was 21,900. He had to email me that and not be professional enough to call me about it. They wasted 2 1/2 days of my time. They also went back on a deal they made for a price. Do they not know the prices of their own cars? The next day I spoke with to the general manager of company about the whole situation and he told me he knew someone had put down a deposit on the car the day before. Well, two weeks later and the car is still listed now for $19,045. I have bought many cars and this was the worse I have ever been treated by a dealer. Please go to a dealer that respects their customers bc this place does not. More

This was by far one of my better experiences at a dealership. John Albanese was a gentleman and was a no frills type of salesman. I would highly recommend this dealership as well as John. dealership. Throughout the process of buying a new car from Bayside Volkwagen dealership Daniel was courteous, friendly, and prompt during our appointments. He clearly knew what he was talking about while showing me the features of the car I bought (a 2012 Jetta!). Daniel was willing to work with us to negotiate the price of the vehicle. The entire staff at Bayside Volkswagen was well informed and polite. But I would especially recommend Daniel for first time and/or younger buyers; he's good at making the buyer feel at ease and doesn't put the pressure on you like other dealers I encountered while looking for a car. Overall my experience with Daniel and Bayside Volkwagen was very positive and I would definitely recommend this dealership over other Volkswagen dealerships (I visited many of them during my car search so I really can say this from experience!)
