Dubious practices Went in for oil change and requested they check oil filter and fluids. Observed through glass window service technician appearing to have trouble in driver's seat, immediately asked Wayne "Does he know that he has to push the brake in before changing gears?" Wayne replied, yes he knows we do this everyday. Appointment for 10:30, told be ready at 12:00. Returned at 11:50 to be told by Wayne, We have a problem with your truck. When we put it in drive it says reverse, When we put it in reverse it says park. Was told the truck was not driveable and the connector cable was broke. I asked how I drove the truck (2002 Chevy Trailblazer) in for an oil change, saw the technician having difficulties changing the gears and now my truck is not driveable and the the connector cable for the gears are broken? Was told it's an old truck, then was quoted a high price and told the parts would be in later in the afternoon and asked if I wanted it fixed. Wayne refused that Bayside was responsible for this broken cable and it was just a coincidence. I felt like I had no choice since my truck was not driveable and told him to fix it. Then I went to waiting room and called everyone I knew to find a ride home after being told by Wayne that Hughesville was too far for them to take me home , knowing I had to be at my husband's doctor's appointment in an hour and a half. Picked up truck the next day and spoke to the other assistant service manager Ellen Jackson who also said it was a coincidence and was condescending asking me if my brake line broke yet, or my speedometer because it's an old truck and that's going to go next. Then saying that it's like turning off and on a light bulb 1000 times, then the next time you turn on the light it burns out. They took 10% off which still totaled $340.20 for the connector cable and gave me a free oil change card. I will never return here, I can't afford a free oil change with dubious practices. More
