I was looking for a new passat and was working with the dealership on Staten Island but they totally wasted my time. When I went in they could not help me at all and didn't even come close to the price they quoted me over the phone. I then spoke with Jorge at Bay Ridge Volkswagen who was extremely helpful and honest. He was able to help me over the phone and didn't waste my time. When I went into the dealership the price I was quoted was the same as the that we discussed on the phone. Jorge was very helpful from our first conversation to signing the deal. I also had the opportunity to work with Jed who was alps very helpful. Together both Jed and Jorge make a great team and are both a pleasure to do business with. More
I really like these guys. Absolutely no pressure experience, these guys just know their cars and really believe in their product. This is my second car from Bay Ridge Volkswagan. Returned to the Dealership after three days to test drive an EOS Sport (one of 4 EOS models). The vehicle was parked on the sidewalk with no gas. We could not test drive the car because the car was driven an EOS Sport (one of 4 EOS models). The vehicle was parked on the sidewalk with no gas. We could not test drive the car because the car was driven from Staten Island to Brooklyn and someone forgot to stop for gas. Not much attention to detail. We questioned the price of the car and Alex said that in 2014 there are now only three EOS models so they added more options and the price went up. He didn't know this 3 days ago? This was an effort to raise the price from what we were told 3 days before. We were asked if we wanted to purchase or lease. We answered purchase. Alex went on for 30 minutes about the advantages of leasing even though we told him several times that we would NOT lease. Alex did not listen to what we wanted but "pushed" what he wanted. He was rude, pushy, did not listen to our questions or concerns and was very arrogant. I don't expect you to post this review because it does not reflect well on your organization. Test drives scheduled but no gas in the car; leasing plans that we were not interested in; price increases 3 days later and an attitude that was not conducive to someone trying to sell a car. A phone call to the manager to express our concerns was never returned. What a difference between your dealership and the Honda dealership across the street. We bought a car from Bay Ridge Honda last year -- what a positive experience. Frank our salesperson was a true professional. Bay Ridge Volkswagen should take some lessons from their neighbors across the street on customer service! More

My husband and I bought a used 2006 BMW X3 with 115K miles last Saturday. The overall experience BUYING the car was great but it's what's transpired since that is deeply concerning. We were told by both Ahmed and David that the car was in great condition and the Car Fax seemed to support that. David went so far as to tell us he knew the previous owner and said they'd taken exceptional care of it (used synthetic oil, took it for changes regularly...). During our test drive we smelled a burning smell coming out of the vents. My husband made it clear we would not buy the car until that was resolved. Ahmed had the service team look at the car and hours later we got confirmation that there had been a bag stuck in the vent. When we left the dealership, as Jon backed the car out, there was very loud squeaking from the tires. We chalked it up to the cold. About 2 days later Jon noticed 3 lights go on: check engine, the temperature and the oil. We got suspicious as the car fax read the car had recently been in for a tune up. We also noticed the car would shake when it was in park (we actually noticed this the first day after we bought it). 6 days in after buying the car, Jon was driving and the car began to smoke and shake. The entire area under the hood was filled with smoke and the burning smell was back. He took it to the dealership and Ahmed told him to take it to The BMW Service center. He also said he could have a loaner if need be. Jon took the car to the service center today and was told the car is in very poor condition and that it should never have been sold. There's a leak in the coolant line that's leaked into the oil which has caused a severe sludge build up. Apparently synthetic oil was NOT being used. We need a new head gasket and may even need a new engine, depending on the damage. And, the back brake pads are nearly worn out. After owning this car for a mere 7 days, this is ridiculous. Jon took the car back to the dealership and explained what he was told. He was sent to their mechanic who wasn't in. He was asked to leave the car so the mechanic can look at it on Monday. And while he was told he could have a loaner the day before, today he was told he wouldn't get one until Monday and that's not an absolute guarantee. So now we're without a car at all and, quite frankly we have little confidence this dealership will be honest and fair with anything moving forward. We will have to wait until Monday to see. In our minds, we want the truth. If the car is a lemon then we deserve a replacement or a refund and absolutely no xxxxxxxx. We paid $15K CASH for this car (including extended warranty). We were sold a car that clearly has problems and was not sold under honest pretenses. What's truly disappointing is that the guys were wonderful and so hands on. Hopefully this will be resolved in our favor and we can move on. More

From the first time I stepped into the dealership, I knew I wanted to give him the sale. I've been searcing for a car for several months and never had I recieved such great customer service. Being a young woman of African American descent, I've gone to several dealers where I was ignored just coming in or not really given the time of day because I was perceived as not having money or not being serious about buying a car. But not Jorge. From the first day I walked in, he welcomed me right off the bat. He took the time to show me the car I was interested in, explain its features, show me how to use them, and answer my questions. Because I've been looking at the Jetta for a while and done a good amount of research on it I had a good amount of knowledge on the car, so some of the questions I asked were to test if he really knew what he was talking about. And he passed with flying colors! I could tell he knew the car like the back of his hand and gave me some good advice on it. Also, Jorge was not pushy at all, which I appreciated more than anything. I've gone to some dealers where the salesmen were very aggressive and pressuring me to buy on the spot or calling me non-stop afterward. Instead, Jorge simply gave me his card and encouraged me to contact him if I had any questions. And I did several times. I felt like he was genuinely concerned with me being happy with the car and getting what I want as opposed to just looking at me as a sale. He really fought for me to get the best price possible for the car. For this reason, I highly recommend Bay Ridge Volkswagen for your next Volkswagen purchase and working with Jorge Quezada. More
