Purchase of 2012 Tribeca -with also follow-up service visit I recently purchased a used 2012 Subaru Tribeca from Bay Ridge Subaru. Sales and management were a pleasure to work with. Also important was the I recently purchased a used 2012 Subaru Tribeca from Bay Ridge Subaru. Sales and management were a pleasure to work with. Also important was the help of service manager Andrew to ensure customer satisfaction the week after the car purchase to help with a performance concern of the brake pulsating down mountain roads that I drive every weekend to ski which was not detectable on city roads. The Bay Ridge Subaru service manager and his team accommodated me with scheduling a prompt service visit. During the service visit the service team performed diagnostics and resolved, with braking pulsating during mountain driving now gone and braking smooth like my past 2006 Tribeca that was also purchased as new in 2005 at Bay Ridge Subaru. My experiences at Bay Ridge Subaru for the past 14 years have always been very positive, and this dealer truly has been there for me during the test of time. Thanks Bay Ridge Subaru and team. More

Mediocre at Best I went to the dealership for one simple reason; they know Subarus best and are responsible, reputable and professional. I made an appointment for 9:30 I went to the dealership for one simple reason; they know Subarus best and are responsible, reputable and professional. I made an appointment for 9:30am at the dealership. When I arrived they instructed me that they could not look at my car until 12:30 at the earliest. They didn't call me until after 2pm - what is the point of making an appointment then? This left me without a car and stranded. The service worker assigned to me was courteous but his attention to detail was unfortunate. He used my last name as my first name, a small detail, but an annoying and timely inconvenience when trying to call about my car or find the proper paperwork for my car. I had to call the dealership to find out the status of my car after days of silence and no communication from them. I am the customer, I should not be chasing down the service department for details on their work. Ultimately, the work took several days longer than they estimated. When they finally called me to report the diagnostic test, the service manager articulated the problem but offered no solution until I asked him for his opinion as he is the expert. When I went to pick up the car, the lady who finalized my bill was lifeless and cold, making me feel bad for her helping me. All in all, the experience was less than above average and I do not see the point of going out of my way to go to this dealership when there is a local garage on my block. I was disappointed to say the least. More
