I was overwhelmed by the professionalism of the staff at the dealership, it is not many places that you find such courteous service. We sat down with Frank told him what we wanted and two days later walked out with our 2013 Pilot. Overall great experience. So far 2 interactions with the service department and so far so good. More
My transaction was very straightforward. I saw a used car on the triple A (aaa.com) website. I called and talked to a normal-sounding receptionist, who got me to a sales person. The next day I was on my way there and they called me asking if my appointment time was going to be honored. I said I was running 20 minutes late and it was all good. When I got there I was given to Lodhi, who showed me the car, got it out of the lot, and accompanied me on a test drive. He is a normal person; he didn't try to xx me or do anything pushy. After the test drive he was very patient answering my questions. I got my wife on speakerphone and he was also patient answering her questions. When I asked him for the documentation on what Volkswagen CPO covers, he got up and got it for me. When I told him I had been pre-approved for a loan at my credit union and they would cut the check for the price of the car he didn't say anything to push me away from that arrangement (i.e., he didn't say 'how much is your payment?'), he just said 'ok' and moved on. The price they were asking for was not bad to begin with. I don't know whether this is true or not, but he showed me their invoice database and typed in the the numbers and it showed the dealer would be taking a $1000 loss on the sale. He said Volkswagen allows the loss because the gains from other sales in the region will make it up. I was suspicious so I asked him if the car was in a flood (Sandy) and he and his boss were both very adamant (but polite) it was not. He got the carfax which showed the car was sold to them December 11, but then it was submitted for Volkswagen Pre-Owned Certification on December 17, and after the inspection, it passed. If I read that correctly, the car couldn't have been too f-ed up, otherwise it wouldn't have been certified by VW because now they are standing behind it with a bumper to bumper warranty. My wife asked how long it had been on the lot and he said 53 days, and the only thing I can think of is maybe that was getting too long for them. I did try to haggle down but they said they couldn't go lower. I checked multiple internet sources after the fact and saw that the price they sold it for was almost exactly what the 'dealer used car retail' amount listed on the internet...so I can't say I got gouged, rather it was a fair deal. Anyway, I decided to get the car, I made a $500 deposit on my Amex card, and got all the paperwork done. The next day I came back with the check, Lodhi put the plates on, and that was it. I did have a few follow up questions for him during the process and he called me back and answered them. He also said he got OEM floormats and that it took him a little while to find them. The car was cleaned and buffed, and running when I went out to get it. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. One thing I noticed was three separate associates there took a second to look me in the eye and genuinely thank me for my business. I hope everyone has the same experience I did, because in hindsight, it went well. More

Andy Feldman is a wonderful Sales Rep. I have owned 4 Hondas in the past, and Andy has assisted with the past 2 transactions. I just picked up my car this past Monday and the entire experience - from sh Hondas in the past, and Andy has assisted with the past 2 transactions.
