Bay Ridge Honda is quite reputable in my neighborhood, so I decided to give them a try. I needed a new car for work and needed it fast. I was starting a new job the following week and was pressed for time. I walked into the dealership in the morning and walked out that evening with a brand-new lease. I absolutely LOVE my car. It was EXACTLY what I wanted. All the sales representatives from bottom to top were professional, courteous and quite knowledgeable. They also understood my needs: I was on a tight budget and they worked with me on being able to afford a Honda within my means. I have and will continue to recommend Bay Ridge Honda, on all fronts. My family and I had such a successful experience at Bay Ridge Honda. It was such a pleasant surprise after buying cars in the past at other dealerships and feeling that car salesmen were VERY difficult to Ridge Honda. Jaime Fernandez proved to my family that it is possible to have a pleasant experience purchasing a car, with a dealer who truly cares that the buyer leaves happy. He did not force anything on us, he asked all the right questions and gave us all the options available but never made us feel like we HAD to do anything. He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and straight forward. He didn't play games, he wasn't sneaky and we couldn't have appreciated all of that more. I lost my 2009 Honda Accord EX in the great flood of 2012. I needed another car and did not want to buy a new one so I decided to get a 2010 coming off lease. I went back to Bay Ridge Honda where I ha 2012. I needed another car and did not want to buy a new one so I decided to get a 2010 coming off lease. I went back to Bay Ridge Honda where I had leased and bought my previous two Accords. I was assigned Andy Feldman as my salesman. I had spotted a few on their internet site that looked good. Andy directed me to a 2010 Accord EX L with low mileage. 16000 miles to be exact. I met with Andy three times and he was able to meet my price and answer all my questions. Overall I would give this experience, and my other two, an excellent rating. More
Was looking for a used car and read a lot of different reviews - tried this Honda because of the reviews on dealer rater. I would not recommend this place to anyone because of the experience I had. My co-worker happened to notice that I brought my car from Bayridge Honda - and she too had a bad experience. My bad experience equated to this: initially I thought the sales person (Al) was friendly and looking out to help me get the best deal - decided to purchase the car and inspected it with him and his manager (don't remember his name and he's not listed on this site) to point out the places that needed to be touched up. From signing the contract onwards it went downhill. Noted a couple of scratches on the car - the manager seemed to quickly dismiss me and said that he would take care of it - I gave him the benefit of the doubt. When I went to pick up the car the major scratch that I had concerns about was still there - the saleman's excuse and his manager's was that - that was how it was. In addition, the scratches that I had pointed out before were not taken care of. I was also promised that they would detail the inside the car - the cup holder still had dry coffee/brown stain in it. Was told that it was because they were short of staff, the salesmen said that he could do it himself with a touchup kit - I said that I could pick it up a few days later to insure that the job was done right. Came back a few days later - the touch ups were poorly done - when I say poorly done I mean it looked like they used a nail polish brush over the areas - the paint was not smooth - lumpy - and there were also lumps of dried paint around the area that didn't need touching up - the brush must have dripped or something. The inside of the car was also sticky and no it was not detailed. Brought it up to Al, my original salesman - and he said that he was doing me "a favor" by detailing the car. Seriously. Gave up because I knew I wasn't getting anywhere with the manager and saleperson as both kept saying they would get the things done but never did. Didn't end there - noticed the breaks were squeaking 1-2 days later - called Al and he said that it was normal. Again I felt brushed off. Brought it to the service at Bayridge, initially was told there was going to be a charge to look at the breaks by the first customer service rep there - he was not helpful and very rude, although he apologized later and said it was because he was overwhelmed. Spoke with the service manager there instead and he said he would look into it. Days later - picked up the car - breaks were fixed - I looked inside the car and the floormat has a greasy footprint stain on it as well as on the seatbelt and the side of chair. I gave up - didn't want to deal with talking with people at Bayridge Honda. I made a complaint to the main Honda as well but apparently they have no say in the individual dealerships. Buyer beware- they will be very nice to you to get you to make the deal initially - but they will not follow through with the promises - think fast talking salesmen. I really hope this will help others when they make their decision where and who to buy from. More
My wife and I have been in the market for a new car for about the last 3 months. We was originally looking for a Nissan Altima. After going from dealer to dealer, phone call after pain staking phone call, countless hours of searching online with different sites and dealers, we happen to just walk upon Bay Ridge Honda. As soon as we walked the door Jeff Jenkins immediately greeted us from across the floor. Within five mins of talking with Jeff, it was like we known each other for years. We told him we was looking for a small 4 cylinder sedan. Told him our price range started out at $10,000 cash and could go up a bit. Jeff with a huge smile and on his face took us to see the lot. In about 10-15 mins Jeff had shown us a few cars and we fell in love with the 2010 Honda Civic Ex. The sticker price was $15,995. That was a bit out of our price range considering we was paying in full. Jeff took a few minutes with the computer and talking to us was able to help us out, he was able to get us the car for $14,500 out the door. We've never bought a car from a dealer before this whole thing was new to us. Jeff took all the time we needed to sit down and go over every little detail about the car and the countless phone calls to answer every single one of our questions with out hesitation. He even made sure we knew that the car comes with a 7year /100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Not a single other dealer could even come close to that. We wanted it. We loved it, and there was never any pressure whatsoever from Jeff or anyone else in the dealership to buy the car. Normally you have to put down $500-$600 just to hold the car, they only wanted $200. The service there was beyond outstanding. I've already recommended this place to about 10 guys I work with on my job site including all three of my foremen. If you're in the market for a new car.....Jeffery Jenkins and Bay Ridge Honda is the only way to go. These folks are out of this world friendly and always willing to answer all of your questions, no matter how many or odd they may be. Thank you so so so much Jeff for everything you did for us and helping us out in buying this car. EVERYONE GO HERE!!!! WITHOUT A DOUBT BEST DEALERSHIP AROUND!!!!! More
