I drove an hour and a half to Bay City Motors, motivated to buy a yellow Miata. I was greeted by a pleasant sales associate who spent 15 minutes with me answering my questions as I examined the car, then, to buy a yellow Miata. I was greeted by a pleasant sales associate who spent 15 minutes with me answering my questions as I examined the car, then, out of nowhere, the boss came by and completely usurped the other sales person's role while putting on the hard sell and scoffing at me when I suggested the price was too high without even allowing me to suggest a price different from that advertised. It was a case of the classic used car lot cliche which completely deflated my interest. I was out the door headed home minutes later. More
