I had a great vehicle purchase experience at Baxter Toyota with Liza and Dario. With the current global supply chain issues, I knew most dealers were taking advantage of the situation by placing significant dealer markups on the MSRP of most vehicles. Not Baxter. They sold the vehicle to me at the MSRP (promised when I reserved my vehicle 4 months ago) and did not even try upsell me on any dealer-added items like paint and fabric protection. This was my best new vehicle purchase by far and I highly recommend Baxter Toyota. More
I bought a certified pre-owned 2018 Camry XSE, admittedly from a dealer in Chicago. I was assured it had a 12 month 12000 mile comprehensive warranty. The car has a few things it needed repaired, that I assu from a dealer in Chicago. I was assured it had a 12 month 12000 mile comprehensive warranty. The car has a few things it needed repaired, that I assumed would be under warranty. I brought the car to Baxter Toyota through recommendation by my parents, only for them to tell me that exactly none of the things were covered under warranty. Those things were: 1) The remote start wasn't working properly. I could open the Toyota app and it would lock/unlock doors and provide information but would not start the car and would tell me to contact the dealer, key fob would also not start the car. 2) The weatherstripping around the panoramic roof was coming off, something which Toyota itself already has a TSB out on to prevent leaks and premature failure of the roof. 3) The front passenger door and rear shelf speakers sounded like they were partially blown. Upon hearing that none of these items would be covered, I immediately called Toyota's corporate number, as that didn't sound right to me. Jake, the assistant service manager, heard me talking to them, and turned around and offered to fix the the remote start and weatherstripping. This ended up being a setting needing changed via the dealership scan tool, and a $20 piece of weatherstripping getting reglued to the roof. However, they are still vehemently refusing to fix either speaker issue, as they are stating it's the panels themselves that are rattling, and not the speakers themselves blowing out; and you know what, I partially believe them on this. The passenger door is probably just the panel rattling, and sometimes I can hear the rear shelf rattle too; however the rear shelf speaker more often than not makes a high pitched squeaking noise, indictive of a blown speaker. Even if it's not the speakers themselves, the panels should also be covered, as the 12 month 12000 mile warranty excludes interior TRIM but NOT panels. They are also spewing the classic dealership crap about how they would be willing to help me if I had bought the car there. Newsflash: if any dealer in Omaha had A) an even remotely good deal on B) the car I actually wanted, I would have bought it locally. The customer relations manager is also unwilling to help me, and is just going off what service is telling them anyhow. Overall horrendous experience, and I won't be returning. PS: Toyota Corporate is also handling this situation terribly, not calling me back when they say they will, etc. I recommend just buying a Honda. More

Getting a new car these days are difficult. I knew when I asked Mike Miller to get me a 22 Camry Hybrid I might have a long wait. Mike and the team at Baxter made it happen.
