I have bought 4 new vehicles from Baxter. I stopped in today to get an idea what the problem was with the A/C was with my 2017 Tacoma. I didn’t get the name of my service provider was. B I stopped in today to get an idea what the problem was with the A/C was with my 2017 Tacoma. I didn’t get the name of my service provider was. But the info he provided was not not very helpful. He said that they have a diagnostic procedure that costs between $100–$250 probably $250 because it was A/C. I asked if the diagnostic would be deducted from the bill. He said no. Instead of stepping out in the shop to get a. Mechanic that was knowledgeable on A/C he said I don’t know. I said so it could be $3000-$4000. He said Yeah I don’t know I left now I have to find a dealer that can actually give me an Estimate. Walter Taylor. 8AM next morning upon learning of the situation was contacted by Scott, service manager, he instructed to bring truck in and, gave me a loaner. It seems that I had purchased Platinum warranty at time of purchase. I had forgotten about that. The truck was taken in, A/C completely gone over and repaired-replacing most all parts of the system. As for the young service advisor, this seemed to be a case of a young man not saying what an old man wanted to hear, nor using all the resources at hand. With a little more training he will be fine. Scott having dealt with many old men cut right to the chase and got the job done. I think all this could have been avoided had I remembered the warranty. I must accept my part of the blame on this. Baxter is still my #1 for new cars and service. I have changed my rating accordingly. Walter Taylor More
