As to purchase, Baxter was competitive in price--and the time they spent in explaining vehicles and helping to understand choices in a very competitive market was unequalled. Ask for Aaron--you will never have a more pleasant, useful, and positive auto purchase experience than with this outfit. And service--wow. Great service, no xx, no upsell. And the only car place my little boys demand to visit with me. Baxter makes it a pleasure. More
I went in to this dealership with both Blue Book and Edmunds values for trading in my vehicle. After a very long wait, I was finally given an offer for my trade in. The offer was so far under the values I had researched for my vehicle, I can only assume they didn't take me seriously because I am a young woman. When I went to leave the salesperson followed me out the door continuing to tell me that my car was not in good shape, and really was not worth any more. I found this odd, since when I showed him the vehicle he commented on how clean it was. More
I just wanted to take a minute and tell you why I will NEVER buy a car from Baxter Ford again, and why I will tell everyone I know to do the same. I had never purchased a vehicle from a dealership befo NEVER buy a car from Baxter Ford again, and why I will tell everyone I know to do the same. I had never purchased a vehicle from a dealership before but after some research on dealerships, I had heard good things about Baxter. I went forward and found a Scion that I was in love with. I submitted an email request online and got a return call the next day (I emailed originally on Sunday the 13th of February). I was informed that the car was sold but Kevin would get another Scion from LaVista for me to drive and we set up a time in the afternoon at 3:30pm on the 14th. I arrived approximately 10 minutes early and was not put out to wait for that time since I had shown up early. My son loved the play area. After waiting for 30 minuets, Kevin informs me that he is busy with another guest and passes me off to someone else. We go on the test drive and he is pretty nondescript. After returning - I am discussing price and find out that the vehicle I was told that I would be test driving is not this vehicle and the price is higher. I went forward with the purchase because I loved the car and the price difference wasn't out of my budget as a graduate student and single mother. The entire process took 4 hours and I was never one offered a drink or had any of the process explained. In fact, I spent most of my time waiting for someone to do something else. I was given no guidance about what or why I was waiting so long. Just that I needed to continue to wait. What I am upset about is that the finance officer tried to up sell my on a warranty five times and after the fifth time he went and got his manager to try a sixth time! Ridiculous! I said no because I wanted to discuss it with my father (having never purchased a vehicle before). After the third time though, I had decided that I didn't want to buy an warranty from you at all and have since purchased a different warranty. I left the dealership very upset about the entire process - plus the vehicle that was taken to get detailed while I was doing paperwork looked terrible! I was called the next day to come sign some new finance papers and when I drove back the same manager, who tried to up sell me for a sixth time, didn't even remember who I was. Well, not until he looked at my file anyway, then he tried to up sell me again! I was assured of the quality of the vehicle time and time again but suddenly I was out of washer fluid. A minor annoyance, but I was told that it was detailed, so I don't think it should not have needed filled in the first week of ownership. Again just a minor annoyance. Around the same time I noticed that all of the wiper blades were in need of replacement. Very annoying considering I had been told so many times of the quality of the vehicle and the detailing that had just happened. Then at the end of my first week, the light came on indicating that I needed an oil change. An oil change after a week? I was told it had just been done. At this point I am livid. Finally, a month in, I go to license my car but NONE of my paperwork had been processed. In fact, the DMV did not have the title even, the day before the plates were due. So I called to find out the reason and a month later, had to verify income, fine. Then I had to go PICK UP MY TITLE from Kris (who was wonderful). The next day I go back to license my vehicle again (after having to get it inspected) only to find out that a spot had not been signed (by the dealership) so I had to drive to LaVista to get a signature from your attorney. After two unnecessary trips to the dealership and only one apology from someone who wasn't involved in the process, I had my car plated. Kris, the wonderful title processor, even took care of my title and inspection fees. How does all of this happen? Out of the entire process I will say that Dave (in after market) was amazing. He is customer oriented and efficent. Also, Kris, in titles, was wonderful and even called to follow up on my situation even though she was not the one who dropped the ball. I felt like I was treated poorly by all BUT Dave and Kris. I felt that the finance department is especially unprofessional. I really am upset that I need to buy new wiper blades and that my car needs to be detailed still. I hope that this isn't a common complaint. -HP More

Beginning May 19th, 2010 with a recall, the above-mentioned vehicle began sputtering and stalling. On August 16th, the vehicle was taken to Gene Steffy Ford in Columbus for repair. Again, after driving the vehicle for two weeks, the check engine light came on and it started to stall and sputter when driven over 20 miles. Three times in September, I took the vehicle to Steffy Ford in Columbus for work. They failed to find what was wrong with the vehicle. I ended up taking the vehicle back to Baxter Ford in Omaha, Nebraska. On October 12th, 2010 an intake hose assembly was replaced on the vehicle, AFTER the service department drove the said vehicle over 100 miles. Again, the vehicle has still not performed to customer satisfaction. On December 1, 2010 the vehicle was taken to Baxter Ford for service work. This time the LH Trans Axle assembly was replaced, the transmission fluid was drained and a case bushing was found to be worn. I spoke to the service manager and general manager on Saturday, December 4th. The general manager told me there was no way they could buy this vehicle back. This is a lie because right in an advertisement on the internet for Baxter -they say they will buy back a vehicle EVEN IF I DON'T BUY FROM THEM. To be frank, I do not want to drive this vehicle on the highway, street or interstate! Very disgusted with Baxter and Ford Escape! More

The buying process turned out to be a nightmare. We were not explicitly told that we would need to pay taxes on two vehicles because the trade-in had not yet had the taxes paid on it. The title clerk at th not explicitly told that we would need to pay taxes on two vehicles because the trade-in had not yet had the taxes paid on it. The title clerk at the dealership didn't get the necessary papers to issue the title until 6 days before the plates were due on the car which caused issues with getting the necessary time off to get that taken care of. Then four days before the first payment is due, we find out from the credit union that there was missing paperwork to set up the loan account and that the credit union had contacted the dealership to get the missing paperwork. The dealership never contacted us to tell us that here was missing paperwork. Had this not been on the top of our mind, we would have missed the first payment. More
Best price in the 4 state area on the the used Honda Oddysey we were looking for, but that was just the icing on the cake. Car was in top notch condition, car-fax one-owner. The real standout part was t Oddysey we were looking for, but that was just the icing on the cake. Car was in top notch condition, car-fax one-owner. The real standout part was the customer service experience. Everyone who we were in contact with, not just Justin (Rocky and Kevin to name a couple)went out of their way to make sure we came away with a positive experience. We bought the car sight unseen (which we've never done before) and it was delivered to our door (in Kansas City). There were about 4 small issues with the car upon arrival - they took care of them thru the local Honda Dealer on their dime with no hassle at all. As far as customers go, we were probably on the high maintenance side, and they were gracious thru the whole thing. Performance Ford is the first place we will begin our next car search! thanks PF team. -Luke in KC More
I love my new car. They had EXACTLY the car I wanted. Ambrose, the salesman, was very professional and friendly. Nate did an EXCELLENT job showing us the SYNC system. Jason, the finance man, got us an EXCEPTIONAL interest rate. Now here is this dealership's downfall. LD was the evening sales manager. I have never met a more rude, UNHELPFUL and almost a deal breaker sales manager in all my years of buying new cars(8). He was not a bit useful in our buying process. Rick the other manager was much more helpful. I highly recommend this dealership but DO NOT go there if LD is on duty. More
