I was recently involved in a wreck that totaled my car and I was still emotional from that experience. A friend of my husband`s referred us to Mike Mohr @ Bates. Mike was so understanding, took lots of time with us, and went above & beyond. He made sure our questions were answered and ensured the entire process was quick & easy. All the staff was very friendly, which added to our great experience. A few days after our purchase, Mike called to see if everything was going well with us. Now that`s customer service! My husband & I highly recommend Mike Mohr @ Bates Ford. More

I had done my research, knew the value of my trade in, and a fair price that would give me a great deal and still allow the dealership to turn a profit. Had received truly insulting offers on my trade in, on the interest rates they tried to stick me with and the price of the mustang. Saw the internet price on a 4 cylinder with ecoboost, figured it was too good to be true but checked it out anyway. I'm so glad I did. Mike stayed an hour and a half after closing to give me a very fair price on my trade in, an unbelievable deal on my new mustang. Got a great interest rate as well. Could not be happier, only regret is that I walked in with a rude attitude, expecting the same treatment as I had from other dealers and poor Mike had to deal with me until I softened up :) Thanks Mike! I love my new mustang; could not be any happier with the service and have been recommending you to everyone who knows I bought a new car! More
will NOT stand behind their word or product Purchased a pre-owned truck 12/2014, the salesman stated, "it checked out good, real good, we traded for it from an older gentleman" . After the purc Purchased a pre-owned truck 12/2014, the salesman stated, "it checked out good, real good, we traded for it from an older gentleman" . After the purchase as I was about to leave the salesman stated "I thought we traded for that from an older gentleman, but it was from a woman that works here." Within 370 miles the truck had quit and check engine light came on. Phoning the salesman he told me immediately how to turn the light off, but to bring the truck back to be checked, I did so and the service department refused to look at it. My salesman wasn't working that day. I phoned back when my salesman was working and was again told to bring it back to be checked out. I did so and again the service department refused to look at it. The salesman proceeded to speak with his sales manager who had to go make the service writer log the truck in to be checked out. After about approx 1-1.5 hours the service writer came to me and stated "we don't have the right equipment to check your truck out", and asked if I could bring the truck back another day. I decided to just leave the truck. So how could the truck "checked out really good" to quote the salesman, if the dealership didn't have the equipment to check it out? I left the truck at the dealership for four days. When I picked it up I was told "we couldn't find anything wrong with it, drive it and bring it back if you have anymore trouble". So a few more miles, the check engine light was right back on and it stalled and quit again. For the third time I took the truck back, left it again. It has been there for almost two weeks, has been checked out by another dealership of their choosing twice, that has the proper equipment to do so, who reported there is "something internal wrong with it, it is missing when we race the RPMs, so there is definitely something wrong with it" as reported to me by the sales manager. I have spoken with the sales manager Mr. Pruitt on several occasions, and on the first interaction with him he stated "we don't check them out" "All we do is drive them about half a mile down the road, make sure the air conditioner works, that the transmission isn't slipping, but we don't hook them up and check them out". I quoted the salesman that had sold me the truck, "it checked out real good", and Mr. Pruitt stated, "no we don't check them out". As of this date the truck is still at the dealership where they refuse to fix the truck, refuse to take it back, and only admit they do not check them out when trading, despite what they tell a customer, and state "I certainly understand, I would feel the same way". Yet still offer no compensation other than "we'll trade with you". I have phoned and asked for the owner Tony Bates, and have been told, and I quote, "he isn't here, he wasn't here yesterday and he NEVER calls anyone back". So as a very disappointed customer I have discovered first hand that the commercial for Bates Ford in Lebanon that states "we trade for anything that don't eat" to not be true. They traded for then sold a truck from one of their own employees that did nothing but eat my money. More

I found some dealerships were indifferent, the deal was unfair or they just couldn't find the truck I wanted...I was about to give up. The worst by the way was Johnson City Ford in Johnson City, TN (Not that the salesman Kevin lied...just so much of what he said was untrue!:) Bate had what I wanted...added to the truck what I wanted...gave me the trade-In value I wanted..and the rest is history! A new 2015 F250 King Ranch diesel maxxed out sits in my warm garage. Thank you Terry Elmore and your staff! What a great experience. I will return to your dealership for future purchases. The drive was worth it. Thank you again! Bill from Gatlinburg, TN More

It like other things got old and had problems that our mechanic said were irreparable. It was done we needed to replace it. Friends of our have done fundraisers to help us and we had some money for down payment but not much. Our credit is destroyed by med bills. We started looking for another Nissan Quest because of the history with had with it. We found a few vans but Bates Ford had the one we wanted. It was slightly out of our budget however. Mr Bates met us and talked He told his salesman Terry Elmore That if we are going to help anyone help these people. He saw our need and gave us plenty for our trade van then took money off of our vehicle to bring it to the area that we needed. Our finance guy Jeremy worked overtime on te phone to ge us into a loan that really blew us away everything we asked for was covered he even took more off the total at the end to help make it work They really went beyond the call of duty to help us and we are the proud owners of a beautiful used van that will last us another 7-10 years. Thank you Tony Bates for your kindness toward us. We will promote you to everyone that needs a vehicle. More
This was the best car purchasing experience I have ever had. I have bought many cars over the years, but never like this. I found the car I wanted online and contacted them by the Internet. Joel, the inter had. I have bought many cars over the years, but never like this. I found the car I wanted online and contacted them by the Internet. Joel, the internet guy, was very helpful and worked around my schedule. When I got to the dealership there was never any pressure or fast talking. He took his time with me and answered all my questions. He even let me take the car home to my wife so she could see it and we could talk. It was by far the best, most hassle free car purchase I have made. Thanks More
