purchased a 2024 CX-5. Awesome vehicle. I don't regret buying this but I do regret buying from Basney. My key fob started acting up within the first month. "Low Battery Awesome vehicle. I don't regret buying this but I do regret buying from Basney. My key fob started acting up within the first month. "Low Battery" and "Key not Detected" intermittently. Then died completely. So, I changed the battery, it worked for about a week then started acting up again the same way. I changed the battery yet again with the same results until I couldn't unlock my door. I contacted my salesperson, Shawn, via text and let him know I got locked out of my car because of this fob. I spoke with their service advisor. Both were unhelpful. I spoke with my salesperson the next day and I was told to drop my car off at the dealership for the day/night so they can "diagnose" the problem. I explained again that it will work for about a week when they change the battery. Then it will do the same thing. I asked if they can simply exchange this faulty fob with a working fob. He said again that they have to "diagnose" whether the fob works when they change the battery. I tried explaining again to no avail. I reminded him that I just purchased a brand-new 2024 CX-5 Premium in December. Again I asked if they could simply order me a new one then "diagnose" all you want with my faulty fob. A simple exchange. He said, "We're not going to order you a $380 key fob without going through the diagnosis period." I explained yet again about the situation and he replied with the same response. I had to purchase my own key fob today so I don't get in another situation where I cannot unlock my door. I highly recommend the Mazda CX-5, BUT you should definitely purchase one from a reputable Mazda dealership. Not this one. More
put a deposit on a 2011 Armada test drove it after a flat tire was fixed. Felt movement in the front end when driving over bumps. Told Tim the car sales manager about it and check engine light. He said he wo tire was fixed. Felt movement in the front end when driving over bumps. Told Tim the car sales manager about it and check engine light. He said he would have it checked out. I came back days later and he said nothing was wrong. So I set a appointment with another repair shop to look and make sure. The following was found wrong 1. Drive belt appeared burnt.2. rear axle seals seeping at differential. 3. RF strut starting to leak.4. Clamps rusted and broken at rear heater hose to core. 5. Both front lower ball joints were loose.6. upper control arms rusted to the point of being unsafe.7. both rear tires have very bad negative camber causing the vehicle to jump around over bumps. 9. rear eccentrics will need replaced to be able to align . Tim gave my deposit back after throwing the finding sheet on his desk. He said he did not believe the findings. Hours after he found out about all the problems he had this SUV back on the lot for sale. For $500.00 less then my offer. LOL BEWARE OF THIS SO CALL GREAT DEALER .AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TIM THE SALES MANGER OR BETTER YET DRIVE BY TO A HONEST DEALERSHIP. More

Each time, I get put into voice mail, and wasn't able to talk with anyone. The first two times, calls were not returned. My impression is that the reception staff is stretched way too thin, and that they need more help. I have a new Mazda 3 – fabulous car. And once I was face to face with the repair representative, they were wonderful to work with. But getting them to answer the phone was a nightmare! This leaves a big hole in a comprehensive service experience. More

I also understand that unless you go to a dealership that has no-haggle pricing, haggling is part of the process. I don't like it, but I accept it. Just keep all that in mind. My wife & I purchased a new Mazda CX-5 from Basney Mazda recently and had a good experience with them. We worked with Tom Lapara. Once he knew which trim and additional options we wanted, he didn't try to up-sell us at all, which I greatly appreciated. Basically we just got down to talking price, which I also liked considering I'd done my research on the CX-5 and comparable vehicles. I can't say I enjoyed the haggling, but as I said that's how it's done at most dealerships so it's what I expected - not much better and certainly no worse. I would also like to put a plug in for the way Mazda produces its vehicles without many additional options. The most basic version of every trim level seems to be more available than some other brands. What this meant for us is that we didn't end up paying for options we didn't want. Other makes often could not be found without a navigation system or a moonroof or some other multi-thousand dollar option package. I appreciated not having that problem with Mazda and Basney. We didn't buy the vehicle right away because we were still comparing other models and trying to get the best prices they could all provide. We even test drove the CX-5 at Basney a second time just to refresh our memories. Basney was fine with that and just requested that we give them a chance to make the deal with us when we got down to actually purchasing. They provided the test drive vehicle, were the closest Mazda dealer to us, and they have decent reviews. That's worth something to us. We went back to Tom and haggled a bit more because we'd found a slightly lower price elsewhere and Tom / Basney provided a very competitive offer, plus a good price on our trade-in. He'd also taken the initiative to get the very vehicle we wanted transferred in so that when we went back the last time to make the deal final it was already there so we could see it. By the end of the next day they'd installed the options we asked for and we drove it home. Overall it was a positive experience and I would recommend them. We will see how they do on service and if I remember to do so, I'll update this review. More
