I am very disappointed that I had to return after oil change to have panel repaired, that should have been secured properly at the time of the oil change. I've had many prior oil changes and this has ne change to have panel repaired, that should have been secured properly at the time of the oil change. I've had many prior oil changes and this has never occurred. The response we got from Brad was, "this happens". I was driving on the toll road at nearly 80 mph when it occurred, on the way to Ohare to pick up my daughter. This was a major issue to me and had significant impact because i had to pull over emergently to figure out what was going on , then find someone else to drive to chicago. So this to me was not, "oh, it just happens." I would hope that quality control at Basney would make certain that this crucial final step of an oil change would always be checked. I expect this type of result from the outside "oil change" places that have much lower quality of service. As any customer of a business, it's nice to hear, that "we're sorry this happened and we'll make certain it doesn't happen in future". This shouldn't happen. More

My charge electrical system light came on which indicated that I should not drive my car. I was from out of state and called Barney first thing in the morning and told them I needed a new alternator and was that I should not drive my car. I was from out of state and called Barney first thing in the morning and told them I needed a new alternator and was told they would take a look at it. It took them the whole day before they got back to me to tell me it was my alternator and that they could do the repair in a week. I wish that Brad told me when I dropped the car off that they would not be able to do any repair work till the following week as I wasted a day. Central Automotive, a local automotive repair shop, fit me in there schedule when I told them I was not from the area and stranded until my car was repaired. It would have been nice if Basney Honda had been willing to help out someone that was stranded out of town. More
Pros = Friendly, got the job done, nicely arranged for ride to and back, nice building. Cons = I was not informed that the parts were not available and had to be ordered. I learned that later after cal ride to and back, nice building. Cons = I was not informed that the parts were not available and had to be ordered. I learned that later after calling at the end of the end supposing that my car would be ready. I feel I spent too much money: $1800 total for one airbag that wasn't working properly on a car that cost less than $24,000. Is that their fault? Probably not. I'm sure the fix would be expensive anywhere, but that really hurts my wallet. But I have confidence* that the job was well done. Safety first. *Just a [probably unjustified] gut feeling about going to the dealer rather than a small shop run by a couple of guys. More
