Hi Sam! This is Jenna Goldstein with Baron Honda responding to you personally. I again apologize for the inconvenience this sale as brought you. I understand the frustration of not getting your first color choice but at least we had your second choice available. It was just miscommunication on our end and is completely not your fault. I just want to mention due to this situation we did take an additional $100 off the price and we delivered the vehicle to your home in Astoria from Patchogue for free. We did not charge you the $200 delivery fee. I would not call this a bait and switch because we did give you lowest price possible on the Honda Civic and took additional money off to hopefully make this mistake a little bit better for you. I also did try to reach out to you the next day to make sure everything went OK with your delivery and you did not respond. Please know I tried my best to keep you satisfied as I even worked from home corresponding with you and getting your insurance while it was my day off. So please do not think I did not care about your deal or business. Here at Baron Honda we always do our best to keep our customers satisfied even we obstacles come in the way. I am sorry if we did lose you as a customer over this and would love a second chance in the future. If that does not happen I do hope you are enjoying your new Honda Civic!

Hi Jenna, First, you never knew that Metallic Metal was our second choice. I only told you this after you told me you made a “mistake” with the color when we had already finalized the insurance, financing, registration, and the agreement! I don’t appreciate you pretending like you did us some kind of favor by giving us our second choice. If it was any other color, we would have walked away from the deal. We asked you to take off $200 for the ordeal you put us through. You said you would only do $100. Second, you had already agreed that you were not going to charge a delivery as part of the agreement before your mistake. And after all the delivery issues with Tony as I described previously, why are you framing it as you were doing us a favor? Should I now be getting credit for paying for the car? I did not respond to your follow up text because I did not have an overall positive experience and was not interested in further communication. If Monday was your day off and you promised to have everything in order for the car to be delivered on Tuesday, I wish you communicated before that this was not going to happen. We had said “Sonic Gray Pearl” multiple times in our email, texts, and purchase agreement. How difficult would it be to match that to your actual inventory and communicate that to Tony? You guys should be familiar with all the colors because you have been selling 2020 Civic models all year. I would be shocked if you didn’t know which of the right colors/cars are available. You had every opportunity to show you me you were a different type of dealership. It makes more sense that you were being dishonest like every other dealership in order to extract more money from customers. This was an important purchase for us, and I don’t give people second chances for messing up things like this so last minute. I won’t be buying from you guys again. We also felt it was important to warn our friends and family about our experience. I was hoping to tell them something different, but now I’m just another customer telling some embarrassing story about a shady car dealership.
