Be careful with these shysters. I had been looking Be careful with these shysters. I had been looking for a slightly used BMW 328 for a few weeks when I came across one at Baron. Since I was still Be careful with these shysters. I had been looking for a slightly used BMW 328 for a few weeks when I came across one at Baron. Since I was still in the looking phase, I just shot one of the salesman an email and wanted to cut to the chase, what their lowest number would be. After a laughable figure, they actually came back with another figure which I thought was really fair. Queue the "if it sounds too good...." I made plans with them to come test drive it, a 2012 328i, and more than likely pick it up on a Saturday which was over a 4 hour drive. It happened to be raining that day and I was given the privilege of viewing the car in a quasi lit garage and didn't see anything wrong with the car other than a small ding on the hood. No big deal. Test drove it, seemed fine. Long story short: I buy the car, drive it 4 hours home, and the next day decide to get the bugs and road/rain grime off of the car. Well, I guess the clear coat on the front bumper decided to come off along with them. The paint didn't even last long enough for the check to clear for the car and they obviously didn't mention anything about it being repainted. I now own a car that I question the integrity of daily. Also, wouldn't you know it, none of the people I worked with will even get back to me for a cheesy apology (Hi Karlton, Steve, and Robert). Unless you're buying new and this is your only choice, I wouldn't even consider these crooks. More
RUN! This repair shop will run tests that aren't even related to the problem because they "think" it might be this or that, when you already told them what it was. Also, when it comes time for the warran related to the problem because they "think" it might be this or that, when you already told them what it was. Also, when it comes time for the warranty to pay for the problem they make sure it wont. They told our warranty that it was routine maintenance and didn't even go into detail explaining that it was caused by a totally different component. They aren't particular to detail and will keep your car for DAYS before you hear from them. They also try to sell you into fixing/buying additional things that your car doesn't need. This place is extremely dishonest. More
Took my 4 year old BMW in for a colission repair. Rusty told me I would get it back in 6 or seven days. Then he said I might want to pay for the differrence in (GENUINE BMW PARTS) instead of the "After-ma told me I would get it back in 6 or seven days. Then he said I might want to pay for the differrence in (GENUINE BMW PARTS) instead of the "After-market" parts, that the estimator had quoted in the bid. I told him that was not my problem, he needed to work that out with my insurance company, "Farmers". :-) I have genuine parts but after 7 weeks I still am without a car. :-( Baron took the SERVICE out of the Service Department! They still cant tell me when it will be finished. My insurance company provides free rental for 20 days and that ran out over two weeks ago. Do not take your vehicle there for service!! More
My BMW's engine overheated because the mechanics at Baron BMW failed to address the same problem, which we had brought to their attention during two consecutive service appointments. Yet, Baron BMW refused t BMW failed to address the same problem, which we had brought to their attention during two consecutive service appointments. Yet, Baron BMW refused to take any responsibility. We brought our BMW 325i to Baron BMW for service in May 2012 because the coolant light was on. Oil change and minor service were performed but the coolant light issue was not addressed. We were assured even though the coolant light was still on. Still concerned about the coolant light, we brought the car back to Baron BMW again 10 days later for a second inspection. We were once again reassured although the coolant light was still on. We trusted BMW dealership’s expertise and continue to drive the car despite coolant light being on. Finally in August 2012 the engine overheated and many parts melted down. After the damage was done, Baron BMW concluded that the overheating was due to coolant leaking. We requested that Baron BMW to be responsible for the repair cost because the service department failed to address the coolant issue after we presented the specific problem twice in May. The dealer refused to take any responsibility for their negligence. Rather, they blamed us for not bringing the car in for service again for the third time. More
I bought a used bmw X3 just barely a year ago, and my reason for choosing Baron was so that I would not get a bad used car! I believed or was told that all BMW dealers check their used cars in detail bef reason for choosing Baron was so that I would not get a bad used car! I believed or was told that all BMW dealers check their used cars in detail before putting them on the lot! The plan was to drive this used car for two years until I could purchase a new one, by the way this was my first BMW. My car was a 2006, and boy did I get SCREWED!!!! These jokers took me for a ride, this car is a lemon, from day 1, and they laugh every time my husband calls to let them know the car is falling apart!!!! Really listen to this, it has had bad battery, huge water leak, fuel pump, front struts, air conditioning, and they forgot to tell me it had been wrecked, only showed us one page of car fax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The sad part is I can not afford to trade now, and no one wants it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEWARE do not get SCREWED like I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
Here we are, my partner and I back at Baron BMW, shopping for a 3 series. We've looked at and test-driven an inexpensive convertible (328i), but it was somewhat 'lacking' for us and we really wanted to driv for a 3 series. We've looked at and test-driven an inexpensive convertible (328i), but it was somewhat 'lacking' for us and we really wanted to drive the 335is, or something more sporty. All they had on the lot at that time was a 335is coupe. I told our salesperson (who we bought our 135i convertible from), that I was not interested in a purchase of that exact black/black car, but spoke of wanting to drive it to see how it performed. He, as it were, was the one who had taken us over to it on the lot and spoke highly of it's capabilities. He even started it up so that we could hear the specially tuned exhaust. By this time I was sitting in it wanting to drive it. When I told him that I'd like to drive it and see how it performed He said "Unfortunately, I can't let that one go"... We were both so stunned. I don't feel that I can blame the salesman, that's why I'm not giving his name. I really doubt that he's acting on anything other than directions that he's been given by his management. I mean, why would he care, he'd just like to make a sale and we'd already purchased there in the past. I ended up buying an M3 and it wasn't from this place, nor will it be in the future. Only at this dealership do they act like they are selling some exotic car that really shouldn't be test driven. I've not had this issue at Superior Lexus, Mercedes Benz of KC, or Aristocrat. Heck, Back home in California they hand you the keys (especially as a return buyer), to whatever you want, but not at Baron BMW. What a ridiculous, short-sighted, and arrogant way to act. To behave as though you have such 'exclusive' merchandise that unless a person is interested in purchasing that individual car, they don't want you to take it out for a test drive. Baron seems to think they can call all the shots because they are the only 'game in town' for BMW. Personally, it was worth the time and effort of purchasing my vehicle elsewhere, where they didn't treat me like one of their cars was 'too good' for me to drive. More
Baron BMW does not care about fixing a problem and being it in an honest manner. We have had the same problem for a year. We paid for the first few "fixes" and then refused until they would guar it in an honest manner. We have had the same problem for a year. We paid for the first few "fixes" and then refused until they would guarantee their work. They tried to fix the problem but after year we became frustrated. They were 98% sure the last two fixes would fix the problem--when we asked for a guarantee they refused. We were very happy to pay as long as the problem had been fixed. Both the service manager and the general manager refused --they had no pride in their ability to fix the problem or desire to resolve the problem that worked for both parties. When we called the corporate BMW offices they did not care either. This is a big company trying to get away with taking advantage to the little guy. More
Baron has redeemed themselves!! I used to deal with Ken Martin, who is no longer with baron thank god, and this time worked with John (service mgr) and Jeff (service rep). Both of these gentlemen were ver Martin, who is no longer with baron thank god, and this time worked with John (service mgr) and Jeff (service rep). Both of these gentlemen were very good at getting back with me in a timely fashion and were very easy to work with. I would highly recommend this dealership. More
Where to start... $200 for an oil change, ok, it's every 15,000 miles so I suppose I can deal with that; $400 to fix a headlight and a window (which STILL isn't really fixed); I wish I could tell you how mu 15,000 miles so I suppose I can deal with that; $400 to fix a headlight and a window (which STILL isn't really fixed); I wish I could tell you how much the latest repairs are going to be, but my car is still currently in the shop, and after 10 unanswered phone calls and 4 emails (no reply), I still have no idea what's wrong with it. My car's warranty company called me 2 days ago and asked me what I thought was wrong with it and then stated that they were going to have to send an inspector out since they've had a lot of problems with Baron claiming that things are wrong with cars that really aren't. I've had my own opinions of Baron since I've owned my car (a whole 6 months), but that kind of sealed the deal. I'm searching for a different car right now so when (if) I get mine back, I can sell it right away and never have to deal with Baron again. More
Worst service department attitude and arogance I have ever experienced. Not only that, they are practically incompetent and way overpriced (as one might expect), but you might also expect some degree of ever experienced. Not only that, they are practically incompetent and way overpriced (as one might expect), but you might also expect some degree of intelligence or common courtesy- not at Baron BMW! It is worth the drive to Columbia or Witchita to both buy and have your car serviced! I can not believe they are still in business! They wont be! More
