My first service appointment with Barker GMC was not great at all making me very leary to use the service department for the routine maintenance on my new car. My new vehicle had a recall and within a great at all making me very leary to use the service department for the routine maintenance on my new car. My new vehicle had a recall and within a day of getting the recall letter I made appointment at Buick for that same week. My car was dropped off at 8am for my 10am appointment. I was brought to work by the worker there which was great. I received no communication during the day about the status of my car. When I called for someone to come get me from work at 330pm, I was told the car had not serviced despite my 10am appointment. The service tech that greeted me that morning told me when I went to pick up the car that "he asked 3 different techs to work on the car and they all blew me off." I then spoke to the service manager about this situation. He then offered to personally handle the issue from that point forward. He gave me his business card to contact him when I could bring the car back. Two weeks later when I was finally able to get the car back for recall service, I tried to call him twice the day before to arrange my appointment. I was told he was there and I left two messages for him and he never returned my call. I was then put in the hands of Dawn who told me she doesn't even work in the service dept. I explained my situation and she assured me that she would handle my issue despite this being out of her department. She actually gave me her own scheduled appointment for the next day. I told her my daughter would go to wait for the car and my concerns of her being there longer than promised since my car was there all day the first time and not touched. She told me to have my daughter show up and ask for Dawn. My daughter showed up the next day, asked for Dawn and did not get to speak to Dawn. I am so thankful to Dawn for arranging our appointment and offering to see it through but never got to see her when we asked for her. To end, the car was serviced and my daughter was out within 1 hour but I am very nervous about any upcoming service appointments being done at this dealership. More
