not too good I purchased a used Pontiac Trans Am convertible, Curt Vires was the sales rep. He was personable and did what he was supposed to do. After I bought th I purchased a used Pontiac Trans Am convertible, Curt Vires was the sales rep. He was personable and did what he was supposed to do. After I bought the with cash it was sold as an "as is" with no warranty which I understand as it was a 15 year old car. I had driven the car les than 50 miles when the alternator light came on. I wound up replacing the alternator and the ECM which is the brains of the car, $800. I test drove with the top down and could not hear the noise coming from the rear axle. I had my mechanic check the noise and wound up replacing all the bearings in the rear axle, $1000. after that was replaced I still had not driven the car more than 100 miles when the engine service light came on. An OBD was performed and the catalytic converters were bad as well as all four oxygen sensors were replaced, $750. I am certain all of these issues were known by the dealership as all trade ins are sent through the service department as normal protocol. The vehicle was simply not represented as it should have been. I was born and raised in Bloomington and went to school with Brad and Sarah Barker, I never met the elder Mr. Barker but I wonder what he would think of this situation. The car is running good now after spending over $2500 in repairs before I drove it 100 miles. I am embarrassed for Barker Buick GMC, the dealership used to be a pillar in the community for decades now I just drive by and think what a shame, now it is just a typical used car lot that I will not, and have not recommended to any of my family and friends.
