I brought my truck in to Sheehy in early January 2014 for servicing due to the engine light that came on in the truck. After paying for the repairs to the part of the engine that was diagnosed, unfortunatel servicing due to the engine light that came on in the truck. After paying for the repairs to the part of the engine that was diagnosed, unfortunately, the engine light came back on 2 additional times within the same month causing me to return the truck to Sheehy's service department both times while the mechanic sighted additional problems and requested that I pay for the added repairs each time I brought it in. Although the truck is quite up in age (2001, w/190,000 miles), to say the least, I was concerned that I was being confronted with unexpected added charges and truck return inconveniences while stating to the Sheehy mechanics that the same engine light within the same month should not incur such ongoing fees and constant returns. While I have been a long standing customer with bringing my vehicle to the service department consistently since I purchased it, to say the least, I was beginning to feel a bit let down by Sheehy. After asking to speak to Derrick Pendergrass (GM), who returned my call promptly, he wasn’t having any of it. Mr. Pendergrass took the time to review the matter, explained my trucks situation and how he planned to resolve it, and he did it with reasoning that was easy for me to accept as a customer. He seemed appreciative of the fact that I had not only been a loyal customer to Sheehy, but he handled my circumstance with personable interest, understanding, and professionalism which I have to confess restored my confidence in Sheehy. Customer service skills are certainly one of his teachable talents in my opinion. Thanks Mr. Pendergrass. More

I took my vehicle in for service on my car engine and was;nt satified at all. They charged me $1000.00 for nothing. The problem was a ticking in the engine. My car had the "check engine" light on, when my cousin took it to the service dept. they told him it would cost $113 just to use the computer to check the engine. After the analysis they did not find anything wrong with the engine but they found some "plug" that was disconnected under the hood and was not properly connected back which was causing the light to be on. Giving that the last person to go under the hood of the car was the service technicians just 2 weeks prior for routine oil change, i feel that the service advisor should have realized that the mistake could have possibly part of the techs doing. But when I tried to explain that possibility to him, since i know for a fact no one else has gone under the hood of the car, he did not care and did not offer any apologies or any price reduction..I've always taken my car to your dealership since I've moved here almost 3 years ago, but from now on I will be taking my car to a different place. More

From the phone call explaining the issue I was having with my truck, to the experience upon arrival, The service provided to me today was absolutely TOP NOTCH! I was there a less than 2 hours! Before I even got out of my vehicle a very kind gentleman was there to put down the protective mat, I was barely in my seat in the Customer Lounge before my truck was taken back! Less than 30 minutes, Les came back to tell me the problem, and the cost. About 30 minutes later I was called by the cashier (who also was extremely kind). I've been a car owner for well over 20 years, and I have never, EVER expierenced such EXCELLENCE in Service, from the phone call in to the dealership to cashing out with the cashier. My last vehicle was Foreign luxury, and I never received the level of service I recceived today! Way to go Les, and Sheehy Ford Marlow Heights, MD Service Dept. as a whole! Outstanding service. I know where I will be coming for service from this point forward, also when I'm in the market to purchase a new truck, this will be the dealership of choice for me! Satisified new customer :-) More
I have been to this particular dealer twice and my car was taken care of but took way to long for the services. An oil change took two hours when i was told it would be about an hour. To fix a broken harmonic pulley the labor cost $400.00 and the part it self was $386.00.On top of the over priced labor they tried to sell me $1500.00 worth of work that cost $800.00 at my local service center. If you like over priced service for your vehicle and your time is not important then go to Sheehy ford. More
