My father was born in 1906. He never owned an automobile. The first time that he drove a car was as a chauffer in 1925. That car was a Model T Ford. My wife and I purchased our first automobile in 1971 from Sheehy Ford in Marlow Heights, MD. It was a lime green Pinto. In 1975, we purchased our second family car for my wife's personal use from Sheehy. The Pinto was driven for ten years until a reckless driver totaled it. After three years of undergraduate school at Harvard in the late 1980s, we puchased a Ford Festiva for my daughter's commute between Washington, DC and Cambridge, MA. She commuted in the vehicle through completion of Harvard Law School in 1993. She then donated the Festiva to charity in 1999. Since 1971, we have been extremely pleased with Ford vehicles and service. This satisfaction motivated us to personally purchased and be responsible for the sale of over forty ford vehicles. When my wife went to live with Jesus in 2004, we owned a Taurus and a Focus. Since 2006 with the growing number of grandchildren and changing personal needs, I have purchased four vehicles from Sheehy Ford. I might add that Mrs. Evelyn Bentancourt has sold my family, friends, and me over a dozen fords since the 1980s to include my current 2009 Expedition.Since 1971 FORD has meant to my family and me "Forever Our Real Deal" and "Faithful, Orderly, Reliable, and Dependable." The customer service was fantastic, the price was perfect, and the car itself was exactly what I was Marlow heights and had a fantastic experience. The customer service was fantastic, the price was perfect, and the car itself was exactly what I was looking for.As soon as I walked in the dealership I was greeted by pleasant smiles and upbeat employees. Everyone I spoke to was extremely eager to help me. The financing was a breeze. The girl who helped me was extremely patient as I read each and every word on every page. (I'm a first time buyer) Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would recommend this dealership to any and all of my friends and family. More
I have been a loyal customer of Sheehy for years and have never had a problem with them until now. I love Sheehy and am a loyal customer (which is why I went to Sheehy to buy my car before I went anywhere e never had a problem with them until now. I love Sheehy and am a loyal customer (which is why I went to Sheehy to buy my car before I went anywhere else) but I am very disappointed in this aspect of their service. I was promised all scratches would be fixed on Sheehy's dollar as a stipulation of me buying the car. I drove 2 hours to get to Sheehy, took time off of work, wasting gas as well as time and I waited 2 hours in the waiting area (I was told it would take 15 minutes) to get my car back with the scratches more noticeable than they started out. My salesperson was Dakota who has not gotten back to me since the paint was supposedly "fixed". He knew that I was disappointed before I left and has not followed up with me to resolve the issue. Dakota did not do a good job selling the car or following up with me afterwards. I have never been sold a car so poorly. If you like Sheehy, don't go to the one in Marlow Heights! More

I would strongly advise against going to Sheehy of Marlow Heights based on my experiences there. You’ll get a good price, but it’s still not worth it. Note, this advice is coming from a bonafide cheepo. I Heights based on my experiences there. You’ll get a good price, but it’s still not worth it. Note, this advice is coming from a bonafide cheepo. I found the car I was looking for on autotrader.com (a 2009 Ford escape) and I was pretty sure that I had everything taken care of in advance. I arranged my financing but I could have paid cash, I agreed on a fair price and I had no trade in so I thought it would be a straightforward purchase. 1) Faster than Grandpa Although I arrived at 4:00 PM, I was there until past closing at 9:15 PM… 5 Hours! It seems that one of the employees was driving it around as a program car while I was waiting to buy it. While this was aggravating, when I received the car both the change oil light and the low tire pressure lights were on in the dashboard. The vehicle was undetailed and it smelled like smoke. They turned this vehicle over to a customer like this! Two days later the low tire pressure light came back on and I found a nice shiny nail in one of the beautiful Michellin tires. 2) We don’t need no stinking brake pads… When I was presented with the vehicle inspection report, it clearly stated that the rear brake drums only had 4/32 of pad left. This seemed low, so I called my brother who was a ASE Ford master mechanic in Florida for 8 years and he told me that for a 1 year old vehicle that type of wear on rear drums would warrant concern and that they should change them out and look for mechanical problems. I told this to the sales manager and his attitude was positively sarcastic. He said, “no way…you expect rear brakes to last 80,000 miles, that’s longer than the tires.” To put this in perspective, my last vehicle had over 125,000 miles on it when I changed them for the first time. This vehicle had 26,000 miles on it and was less than a year old. The sales manager refused to admit that this was a problem and addressed my concern by trying to make me feel like an idiot for even suggesting that at the least I would need new rear brake shoes. I walked out of the dealership over brake shoes, but mostly because I didn’t like being lied to. In retrospect, I was too tired to deal with this crap and I should have kept going, but I had driven over an hour and a half because they had a good price. Besides, my brother said that we could just put new shoes on together over Christmas if they dropped the price of the vehicle. Now wait, this gets better. When I brought the vehicle to my local mechanic the next day, we measured the rear drums together and they had 9/32 of pad left! Since brake shoes don’t grow, I can only assume that Sheehy’s mechanics never checked them in the first place! I told my salesperson about this and all I got in response was an awkward silence. 3) It’s not dirty, it’s cozy: The vehicle hadn’t been detailed properly before delivery- the next day I found myself cleaning the seats and interior plastics when I saw what a terrible job (if any) was done on the interior. In my own defense, it was getting dark when I first saw the vehicle. On the other hand, there were stains all over seats that were easily lifted by some Mopar Total Clean. As a customer I shouldn’t have had to do this though. 4) I sent your key in the mail with your Nigerian e-mail lotto winnings: The last straw for me was when I left the dealership at 9:15PM and I had forgotten the spare remote key at the dealership (these things are expensive!). When I told my salesperson about this, he told me that he would mail it to me. 1 month later…Still no key. It turns out they lost it. Or can't find it. At least they are consistent. It’s too bad that this happened and that some car dealers still treat customers like suckers. To restate, you have the potential to get a good price with Sheehy, but some things in life are worth the extra money. Like eating at a dirty restaurant or staying at a budget motel in a bad neighborhood, don’t risk it with as big of a purchase as a vehicle. More
Mr. Parks went above and beyond his job to satisfy his customer. He came in on his day off to complete the deal. He was always accessible, courteous and friendly.
