I cosign a car for my son around 2 years ago, everything was going okay until my son was sick with covid 19, he made the terrible decision to not tell me he couldn't afford the payments for about 2 months ( was going okay until my son was sick with covid 19, he made the terrible decision to not tell me he couldn't afford the payments for about 2 months (December and January ) I wasn't aware of what was going on until I got my credit score through xx. My credit dropped over 100 points because of this, I'm beyond shocked and disappointed, I was never informed by the dealer of what was going on, I don't know if that's what they were going for to collect all the late payments charges or what happened. They have all my info. I also find out during my investigation that I wasn't the cosigner but I was the buyer and my son was the cosigner, I was never informed of that either. I wouldn't have agreed to do it under that circumstance. I feel scammed and betrayed by this place. I know you can't expect honesty from a place like that but I wasn't expecting for this to happen either, I would have made the payments if they would have done their job to notify me. My point in this review is to warn everyone of this place, don't let then ruined your life, my score was in the 800s now is barely in the 700ths. I have tried to get some help from them but I have been ignored so far, they keep giving me numbers to call but is just going in a loop here with them. Please stay away from this place and be careful if you are co-sign anything as they will leave you out in the dark. P. S the car is not even worth all the damage done to my credit. Is a 5,000 dollar car with a 3,000 left to pay in full. More
Dishonest Sales Management. We were looking for a RAV4 Prime SE and had discussions with their internet sales regarding our requirements, availability and price. Internet Sales Department was very cordial Prime SE and had discussions with their internet sales regarding our requirements, availability and price. Internet Sales Department was very cordial but we were told that we need to come in to dealership to be able to reserve a vehicle that met our color and trim requirements. We were assured that the dealer was selling vehicles at MSRP. We scheduled an appointment to finalize the transaction. Upon driving about 50 miles our assigned sales person Robert and manager Brian/Syed were very dishonest and shifty. They showed us a completely different color, told us that vehicle that were looking would not be available for 3-4 months, we would have to finance with them at their rate and to top it wanted us to sign a document with vehicle cost at least $5,000 more than MSRP. The information they provided was very misleading and contradicting to what was discussed on phone. The behavior was very deceptive. We were stunned and walked out of the dealership. Upon walking out both Robert and Brian followed us to our feigning ignorance on the printed document regarding MSRP increase and suggested that we negotiate. We were disgusted and left as we could not trust the sales management at this dealership anymore. If you can tolerate bait and switch then this is your kind of dealership, else stay way for sure...!! I write this review to inform you of the abhorrent behavior of the sales management at Balise Toyota of Warwick. To be blunt, they are liars! I made it clear to their team when entering Balise To behavior of the sales management at Balise Toyota of Warwick. To be blunt, they are liars! I made it clear to their team when entering Balise Toyota in Warwick that the only reason I was buying and financing a car was to help my son establish credit. I also shared with the team that I had already checked with my credit union and was quoted an interest rate of 4.49%. I agreed to pay the list price without negotiation. What I asked for was a trade in price and the interest rate. They couldn’t provide a trade quote because “the car wasn’t there”. I found this a little odd because I’ve gotten trade quotes before by providing a VIN number. That said, after checking my credit (score 795) they assured me that they do business my credit uniont would be able to match their rate. My guess is they lied because they were worried we wouldn’t return. We did however return with the trade and negotiated a deal……I thought. However, when presented with financing the interest rate was more than 7%. As you can imagine I was very upset having been lied to. As you can also imagine the fallback of their team was to point out that the monthly payment wouldn’t be affected very much. This angered me even more because during the ridiculous 5 hour sales process I assured them multiple times that the monthly fee was of no concern and in fact if I wasn’t trying to establish credit for my son I would be paying cash for the car. And to add insult to injury I was told by the sales mgr and the finance manager that they would not hold the car for me for the 24 hours it would take to get a check from my credit union. So, after lying to me about the interest rate and being supported in that lie by his finance manager I was presented with 2 choices. 1. Go thru with the deal 2. Risk the car being sold which would force me to go through another 5 to 7 hour sales process with Balise or another dealer. Not willing to take that risk (time is my greatest asset) I bought the car. I write this because I can’t believe I was lied to to secure a small amount of additional profit in an already profitable transaction. This dealership's shaddy practices reenforces why the public doesn't trust car salepeople. I hope you find this information helpful. More
I sent an internet inquiry on a vehicle and was told that "Due to limited inventory at this time, management has requested all pricing be handled in the showroom." Unfortunately I am not willing to drive 2- "Due to limited inventory at this time, management has requested all pricing be handled in the showroom." Unfortunately I am not willing to drive 2-3 hours to walk into a showroom and be given a price that is out of line with what I am willing to pay. While it is absolutely Balise Toyota's option to choose to do business this way, it's reason enough for me to steer clear. Why not be transparent and up-front about your pricing? What is there to hide? Many dealers across the country are taking advantage of a hot market, and engaging in ruthless pricing tactics. Buyer beware! More

My wife and I visited Balise Toyota Warwick to look at a used Highlander. Syed was the representative who we sat down with and got us the keys to go for a test drive. Nice enough guy. It all went downhill f used Highlander. Syed was the representative who we sat down with and got us the keys to go for a test drive. Nice enough guy. It all went downhill from there. We noticed a grinding sound in the right front turning arms and some major scratches which were down to metal and showing rust. Otherwise test drive went well. Brought it back and another gentleman entered the conversation and he had no name because he never introduced himself. He came with a price sheet and seemed interested in what we found during the test drive to which we informed him. He then went into this long unnecessary diatribe about magnetized paint from the factory and fixing the scratches would nearly impossible, which is when the BS meter started clicking. Then he broke out the price breakdown and proceeded to tell us how he was going “gift us $300” off the pricing. Then we noticed the price was $500 higher than advertised to which we called him out. After having proved that Car Gurus had the lower price he had to honor the lower price. He started all the double talk about documentation fees and registration fees, none of which was even close to detailed but the sum came to about $600 added to the cost. Since all the fees pertained, by his words, only to the state of Rhode Island none of it pertained to us since we reside in Massachusetts. Then he looked a bit sick and said he needed to go talk to his manager. He came back saying they would still honor the online price but our “ gift of $300” was off the table. We left! Two pieces of advice do not shop here and never invite him, the head salesman who does not introduce himself, to a birthday party because he will bring a gift and leave with it too. More

I tried to buy a brand new vehicle from this dealership, buy I felt like they cared more about how much they can make vs making a good deal very a past customer and keep me as a customer. Long story short, buy I felt like they cared more about how much they can make vs making a good deal very a past customer and keep me as a customer. Long story short, they kept me late and when we finally agreed upon a price, they asked for the check from the bank after 7pm, when I told them I'll have the check from the bank the next day, they tried hard to push me into financing with them instead of the better deal I had with my bank. Will never go to Balise Toyota again. I put a 500 deposit on a car that I couldn't really tell the color from the computer. When they found the car it looked like a smurf mobile, so I didn't want it. deposit on a car that I couldn't really tell the color from the computer. When they found the car it looked like a smurf mobile, so I didn't want it. We sat in the lobby for ours twice only to ve told that the salesman working with us was to busy and that they would call us on Monday. Well its Thursday no call and a bunch of lies, when I texted the sales person... I want my deposit back which they said is non refundable. The smurf mobile was sold the same day when we said we didn't want it. To top it off the sales man and manager said Toyota don't care that I bought three cars, leased two and took three other people to buy cars at Balise. People stay away from this dealer go somewhere else... Sad I never looked at the reviews and all the complaints before. More
I purchased a new Toyota Camry back in 2018 at Balise Toyota of Warwick. After nine months or so, water run-off from the vehicle's air conditioning unit backed up into the interior causing black mold an Toyota of Warwick. After nine months or so, water run-off from the vehicle's air conditioning unit backed up into the interior causing black mold and other damage. Balise refused the accept responsibility for the damage, claiming it was caused by a spider, which is odd because I had a 2007 Toyota parked in same drive way for nearly 10 years without any prior occurrences of spider infestations. I didn’t know that we had tarantulas in Rhode Island, but apparently, they’re prefer newer Camry vehicles, so avoid buying any new Toyota vehicles, specifically from Balise. Anyway, the several thousand dollars in damages was covered by my insurance company. For those who may not be aware, Toyota has had chronic problems with the air conditioning system for many of its vehicle models over many years. Fast forward to 7/20/21, and my wife mentioned that there might be an odor coming from the air conditioning, which is not running as cold as it should. Hoping to avoid another possible disaster, I called Balise Service to bring in the vehicle and have it checked, as they recommended years ago when the vehicle was first damaged. Despite being covered under a 3-year/36K mile manufacturer’s warranty, Balise is seeking to charge me a $69 diagnostic fee. Balise has no reservations in adding insult to injury. They are not reputable. I’ve had little or no warranty service performed by Balise on my car, a $25,000 car. Now, they want to charge me $69. Doesn’t the purchase of a brand-new car come with a warranty that provides peace of mind? Not at Balise – they do not value decency. Be wary of their practices. More
