I initially went to the dealership with the intention of just getting an idea of the cars that were available. Patric came out with a warm smile on a very cold day and asked if he could help. After some thought later in the day I called back and told them I wanted the 2011 Cruze that I test drove. A couple days later I went in to finalize the purchase and he made everything very clear and comfortable for me. The man who helped me with the loan was also very clear and helpful. I often find myself writing to warn people about eating at certain places or shopping at a particular store but these past few days have me doing the opposite. My wife was looking to upgrade her current vehicle but owed more than the car was worth. I spent hours at various car dealerships explaining our situation. I am a father of 2 young children and my wife and I are teachers, so safety and a budget were very important to the both of us. After being told due to the negative equity in the current car leasing would still be expensive. I found myself at Balise Chevy; I had bought my last 2 cars from Balise Nissan and Balise Toyota (great experiences). However this time my wife was in love with the Chevy Traverse. Our salesman was helpful and understood our situation after coming back with the first offer we explained it was out of our budget. We felt defeated and thought this was not going to happen. Within a few minutes a sales manager come over. I was already thinking, “great I have to listen to someone explain to me why they can’t help us…and we needed to come up with $3,000 we didn’t have”. I was shocked when the sales manager (Dan Good) spoke to us. He couldn’t have been more down to earth and understanding. His idea of leasing a 2013 vs. 2014 would save more money was great. He also was well below the 4 other dealerships and the only one willing to work with our budget. While Dan was locating our car I must have called him over 10 times with numerous questions he not only was professional, he never seemed as if I was a bothering him it was just the opposite we talked about our families. I know there are so many other car dealerships around and most people hate the car buying experience but you MUST stop by and talk to the Balise family because my last 3 times have been nothing short of amazing. Thank you Dan and your entire sales team for making my families experience stress free and enjoyable. After ordering a truck, and leaving a deposit so truck can be ordered thru the factory. Balise changed the pricing, and would not honor the original price. After shopping around to several dealers we landed at Balise. The dealer we dealt with gave us the best price out of every dealership we had been too, at this point a sales contract was filled out becaus Balise. To have the order placed they needed a signed sales contract along with a $1000.00 deposit. and the "SALES MANAGER" would have to submit the order. We waited 8 weeks for the truck to be built. During this time made several phone calls to the dealer for information on financing. Always given the brush off saying that Finance would deal with that. We show up at the dealer the day the truck is delivered, sit down with the the dealer and sales manager ready to make payment and finance...that is when the shock hit. All of a sudden the price that was agreed to on the contract is now $3000.00 higher. At this time the sales manager stumbles all over himself saying he just realized the dealer made a mistake with the numbers. Here in lies the issue....you the sales manager sat in the same office with us the day the deal was made and shook our hands....also you, the sales manager had to place the order because your sales people aren't allowed. Now 8 weeks later you suddenly notice there is an issue with the price that was agreed to. It's called bad business. Per the Attorney General's office in RI this seems to be common business practice with this dealership. The Automobile Dealers Board of RI is also aware of the practices. An investigation is on going. PLEASE BE WARE DO NOT SHOP AT BALISE!!!!!!! Personally it should be 0 stars but that wouldn't registered on the board After posting this issue to the public I am getting a lot of feedback on the same tactics done to other consumers. This is the epitome of BAD BUSINESS!!!!! More

My husband and I had been to other dealerships and they consistently tried to sell us cars that were not in our price range or budget. Then we went to Balise. We told Jason how much we could afford and t consistently tried to sell us cars that were not in our price range or budget. Then we went to Balise. We told Jason how much we could afford and the payment that would comfortably fit in our budget. He listened and knew the inventory so he knew exactly what to show us. He never tried to upsell us and never tried to push us into anything. The payment we ended up with was lower than we expected. The whole experience was very pleasant (a word I never before associated with a car dealership), from Jason straight through to financing. I bought a 2006 Mustang from them. Everything went very well at the beginning but when I came to pickup the vehicle they did not have a front bumper plate mount for the mustang and put two hole in the bump well at the beginning but when I came to pickup the vehicle they did not have a front bumper plate mount for the mustang and put two hole in the bumper just to get it on the car with out asking me first. I took the car off the lot with out looking and called them the following day to let them know I was upset with the way they hang the plate on the bumper. They where polite but saw that they did anything wrong and appaligized for my unfortunate situation that they caused me. Now I have to get it fixed, all they had to do is ask me. More

I was in the market for a new 2012 Tahoe. They had the LOWEST price within 500 miles of Rhode Island. And that was with no bargaining at all. They gave me a very fair amount on my trade in (also without the hassle of bargaining) right off the bat. They were quick, to the point, even got me a soda while I was waiting. I purchased the car after about 40 minuets of discussing options with the sales person. Literally the only hassle free auto deal I have been involved in (involved in 5 in the last 10 years). Never had that "greasy used-car salesman" feeling. Left there feeling happy and amazed that there are still car dealers out there who don't just try to "talk the talk" and actually want you to be happy. I RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO EVERYONE More
