After ordering a truck, and leaving a deposit so truck can be ordered thru the factory. Balise changed the pricing, and would not honor the original price. After shopping around to several dealers we landed at Balise. The dealer we dealt with gave us the best price out of every dealership we had been too, at this point a sales contract was filled out becaus Balise. To have the order placed they needed a signed sales contract along with a $1000.00 deposit. and the "SALES MANAGER" would have to submit the order. We waited 8 weeks for the truck to be built. During this time made several phone calls to the dealer for information on financing. Always given the brush off saying that Finance would deal with that. We show up at the dealer the day the truck is delivered, sit down with the the dealer and sales manager ready to make payment and finance...that is when the shock hit. All of a sudden the price that was agreed to on the contract is now $3000.00 higher. At this time the sales manager stumbles all over himself saying he just realized the dealer made a mistake with the numbers. Here in lies the issue....you the sales manager sat in the same office with us the day the deal was made and shook our hands....also you, the sales manager had to place the order because your sales people aren't allowed. Now 8 weeks later you suddenly notice there is an issue with the price that was agreed to. It's called bad business. Per the Attorney General's office in RI this seems to be common business practice with this dealership. The Automobile Dealers Board of RI is also aware of the practices. An investigation is on going. PLEASE BE WARE DO NOT SHOP AT BALISE!!!!!!! Personally it should be 0 stars but that wouldn't registered on the board After posting this issue to the public I am getting a lot of feedback on the same tactics done to other consumers. This is the epitome of BAD BUSINESS!!!!! More
My husband and I had been to other dealerships and they consistently tried to sell us cars that were not in our price range or budget. Then we went to Balise. We told Jason how much we could afford and t consistently tried to sell us cars that were not in our price range or budget. Then we went to Balise. We told Jason how much we could afford and the payment that would comfortably fit in our budget. He listened and knew the inventory so he knew exactly what to show us. He never tried to upsell us and never tried to push us into anything. The payment we ended up with was lower than we expected. The whole experience was very pleasant (a word I never before associated with a car dealership), from Jason straight through to financing. I bought a 2006 Mustang from them. Everything went very well at the beginning but when I came to pickup the vehicle they did not have a front bumper plate mount for the mustang and put two hole in the bump well at the beginning but when I came to pickup the vehicle they did not have a front bumper plate mount for the mustang and put two hole in the bumper just to get it on the car with out asking me first. I took the car off the lot with out looking and called them the following day to let them know I was upset with the way they hang the plate on the bumper. They where polite but saw that they did anything wrong and appaligized for my unfortunate situation that they caused me. Now I have to get it fixed, all they had to do is ask me. More

I was in the market for a new 2012 Tahoe. They had the LOWEST price within 500 miles of Rhode Island. And that was with no bargaining at all. They gave me a very fair amount on my trade in (also without the hassle of bargaining) right off the bat. They were quick, to the point, even got me a soda while I was waiting. I purchased the car after about 40 minuets of discussing options with the sales person. Literally the only hassle free auto deal I have been involved in (involved in 5 in the last 10 years). Never had that "greasy used-car salesman" feeling. Left there feeling happy and amazed that there are still car dealers out there who don't just try to "talk the talk" and actually want you to be happy. I RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO EVERYONE More
Sold me a 2005 Cadillac CTS that was clearly a lemon. Few days after buying the car would not start and they were not willing to pay for the tow expenses. Turns out the battery had no life left. My sales associate Paula was the ONLY positive part of my experience. It took them hours to run numbers for pricing. I eventually bought a new car and thought everything was going to be fine. Two days lat experience. It took them hours to run numbers for pricing. I eventually bought a new car and thought everything was going to be fine. Two days later the radio broke so I drove to the dealer. They told me they can not do anything today and will pick my car up from work and drop it back off. However, I use my car for work and told them that when they pick my car up then they have to leave a loaner. I told them this several times. When they picked my car up they did not leave a loaner and I was stranded at work. I called their service team right away and they told me their was nothing they can do. About two weeks later Balise called me and told me that I owe an additional $150 for my registration. I came in to discuss the additional fees and they did not even have a reciept. They told me that there was hidden fees they did not calculate in my final offer. In my terms and agreement contract these fees were not mentioned ANYWHERE. After talking back and forth I finnally told them that I will never do any buisiness with them ever again. I also told them that I will not even do my routine matenance with Balise Chevrolet. The manager told me "well that not enough for us to eat $150". So I will take all of my buisniess to their competetors from now on. I will not even go back for my complementary oil change!!!! More
