Stay Away! I purchase a 1997 Silverado from Baldwin Chevrolet / Cadillac. Approximately 1/2 way home on my 200 mile trip the brakes went out. Took it to several mechanics and they could not fix the problem. Called Steve and he sent a trailer to pick up my truck. A few days later he brought the truck back and stated that it was fixed. It was not. Not only was it not fixed, it was in worse shape than when they picked it up. Lug nuts were so tight I had to take it to a large truck shop and have them loosened. Brake bleeders were now rounded from using a vice grip instead of the proper wrench. Come to find out, the ABS unit had previously been replaced with an incorrect one. Replaced with a new, correct one, and all is well. I spend over $3,000, after paying almost 12 grand for the truck, just so I would be able to safely drive it. They offered no compensation. More
No respect given for someone driving 285 to view vehicle. Salesman lied about vehicle condition and vehicle was dirty. Cigarette burns all over carpet and seats. I purchased a used pickup from Blackwell-Baldwin, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, for $19,200. Since they are supposed to be governed by the major auto manufacturers I "thought" I would not get scammed. Therefore, I purchased the vehicle only seeing it in pictures and discussing it on the phone and through email. After the vehicle was delivered I discovered it had not been serviced, detailed, and did not have a thorough motor vehicle inspection. I had to spend $600 servicing, detailing and repairing items that are standard repairs during inspection. The salesman, sales manager, and owner/general manager would not do anything about this situation. It took me over two months to get anyone to call me back after sending a letter with receipts and explanation and making four phone calls. A continued result of poor customer service. I just hope no one else gets scammed. Beware. More
tammy dose not known her job, mark is lazy and dosen't care because it's not his car and knows there is no where else to take it in town accept a blackwell bladwin dealer,shelly is rude and has a attitude care because it's not his car and knows there is no where else to take it in town accept a blackwell bladwin dealer,shelly is rude and has a attitude problem.i wasted 3 days to get front rotors replaced. i waited 5 days for the parts to come in. they didn't even call when they came in, and i called and asked and they didn't even know ,i had to call parts dept.they verified that the parts were in,if parts dept. had not told me i would still be waiting. i had to call denise at the pontiac dealer across the street to tell them that the problem was covered under warrenty.denise is very nice and tries very hard to help the customer.the chevrolet dealer across the street didn't even send a survey comment card on service because they are terrible and dont care if your a satisfied customer,it,s not their time or money More
This dealership solved my Cadillac's year long transmission problem after being seen by three other dealer's. It only took them one time to solve the issue. I am very satisfied with the service transmission problem after being seen by three other dealer's. It only took them one time to solve the issue. I am very satisfied with the service department and would highly recommend them to everyone for service needs. I will never let any other dealer work on my vehicle again! The staff are all very polite and have been very generous to me by providing me with a dealer vehicle to drive while they service my car. Thanks Blackwell Baldwin! More
