As a prvious Nissan owner, I was in the market for a newer model. My two previous vehicles have been Nissan. I personally am convinced that there is no other car out there for me. James Powell really helped me out when I brought my X-Terra in for service on 12-4-10. Several things were done-oil change, tire rotate, change tail light bulb, and replace a Recalled part. They even discovered that I had a nail in my tire and patched it for free. I have been going to Baker Jackson Nissan North for 5 years for Service and this was the best visit I've ever had. I was so relieved to get everything done in one day. Thanks to James Powell and the Service Technicians ! More
This dealers finance manager sold me a bumper to bumper warranty except for gas, oil, tires and windshield wipers. Turned out warranty useless as was the dealer. They quoted me a $1999.00 extended warranty warranty except for gas, oil, tires and windshield wipers. Turned out warranty useless as was the dealer. They quoted me a $1999.00 extended warranty and ended up charging me $2199.20. In less than a month was in the dealers shop and cost me $985.00. I advised them up front I would not sign papers unless it was certified inspected. They (the used car manager and he was also the owner) stated was Certified Inspected which was really and altered dated in house inspection from 2006 to look like 2008. Check engine light came on in two days after purchase. It has needed two catalytic converters from the beginning. I have spent over 5000.00 repairs since acquiring car. I cannot get this car inspected in the county I live in due to not passing the emissions test. I had to let the car sit for three months until a friend of the co-signer took it to another county for the inspection. I also was to be the co-signer and they put me on the finance papers as the owner/borrower and I complained and they stated it did not matter whose name came first. The actual owner had no credit and they made him the co-signer. They also did not give me a copy of the warranty for four months and by then the limited mileage the warranty was to cover was almost up. I had to call the warranty company four times to get a copy in the mail. The complaints I made to the dealer was not taken into consideration only question they ask is what is the mileage--(the very first question.) They offered me a $500.00 take it or leave it offer and I ask them to take the car back, their response was I had to buy a new car from them to do that. I cannot trust this dealership. This issued has been brought to the attention of the BBB, Texas DOT, Texas Dept of Rules and Regulations, and insurance division. Dealer has been contacted by the BBB and the State of Texas months ago, and the manager said to the State of Texas DOT he would contact me to try to work out a settlement to this situation, but so far no word from Baker Jackson North of Houston. My next option??? More
