John Snyder was very friendly and knowledgable about the cars. This was my first car purchase and I feel like he really had my best interest at heart. I will make this review as honest as possible. We visited this showroom on a Saturday when it is probably the most congested. We had already decided to buy an Outback so that was not an issue. We were there to see the specific car quoted to us and test drive it before finalizing the deal. Subaru is the best car thus far we have ever owned. (Own a 2003 Outback from this same dealer when it was Suburban). Parking at this dealership is very difficult as there is very little customer parking. We ended up parking our old truck between two new cars on the lot. While we were able to test drive the same model we were interested in, the actual car we were considering was packed in tight like sardines and was blocked by another customer’s vehicle. Unfortunately we were unable to look it over or test drive it. I was able to at least squeeze into it and start it. Without driving it we decided to purchase. I assumed that anything needing done cosmetically would be taken care of by Monday before pick up. That was my first bad assumption. Monday was cold (15 degrees outside) and the vehicle was left outside in the lot to inspect. It did not take long (10 seconds) to see that there were many flaws in this vehicle, as it was most likely just washed and dried and nothing more. To my disappointment and dismay I started to wonder what was going on. Scratches in the paint, dirty carpets, scuffs everywhere. Far from showroom or even new condition. No one had even looked over this before me. Long story short, I ended up driving this off the lot to get home thus beginning the angry phone calls and emails to everybody involved that led me to bringing this car back the next day for a full refund. The dealership found a like vehicle at another dealer and had it delivered the same day. I think the entire team of detailers were working on this one all the next day because upon my arrival and inspection it was showroom quality. My mood was turning brighter and I finally felt like I was taking a vehicle I could be proud to drive away with. I am now a happy second generation owner of a Subaru. If I had to do it all over again I would suggest that this dealer take more time with the customer going over the features of the vehicle as in the checklist provided by Subaru. I figured out 99% by reading the manual. I would also have them pay closer attention to a new car going out the door. All parties involved should be looking over to ensure that everything is perfect and that the customer leaves with a smile. Allyse and Bob did redeem themselves the second go so I give them full credit for that. I will do my best to forget that Saturday to Monday and move on with my new Outback and look forward to driving it for the next 20 years. More
I had been looking for a new vehicle for my wife and stopped in at Baierl Subaru in the North Hills to look at the 2014 Impreza hatchback. I spoke with John Snyder on Monday February 24, 2014 and John a stopped in at Baierl Subaru in the North Hills to look at the 2014 Impreza hatchback. I spoke with John Snyder on Monday February 24, 2014 and John asked what I was looking for, explained about the Impreza, and left me to think this over, with no sales pressure. John was very personable during this visit. On Wednesday February 26, 2014 I brought my wife out to Baierl Subaru to look at the Impreza but she instead fell in love with the 2014 XV CrossTrek Limited. John was very helpful in explaining all the features of the CrossTrek, showed us a video of the features like the control and handling of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. My wife and I decided to purchase the CrossTrek and John could not have been more helpful. On Thursday February 27, 2014 we took our new purchase off the lot and John took time to explain how all the features worked in the CrossTrek and left us as very happy customers. We also got a very fair amount for our trade-in and the financing handled by Andreas was very professional and efficient. Thank you Baierl Subaru More
I just had a really wonderful experience. As a woman purchasing a car, many salespeople treat you with disrespect. Even though I brought my boyfriend along John M. always addressed me and my needs/want purchasing a car, many salespeople treat you with disrespect. Even though I brought my boyfriend along John M. always addressed me and my needs/wants instead of deferring to my boyfriend which other salespeople have done. He gave me the various options on the car I was looking at - explained everything really well. There were no pressure tactics and the price quoted was great - a little better than I expected from my internet research. Andres was great too - explained everything with the paperwork really thoroughly so there was no confusion about the things I was signing. Overall, everything went really smoothly and I got my brand new Subaru! More
