Great experience with John Vanderhoff & Bachman! John is, in my opinion, what a car salesman should be like. When I picked the car up he explained all the technology and introduced me to the people in the service department. Again, no hard sell to use Bachman for service, but helpful if I ever do. As to price: I had gotten a certain price from the car buying service (which Bachman knew). However, they let me know from the beginning that their price for the car I wanted was LESS than the car buying service price. I've had dealers tell me their price is more because blah, blah, blah, but never less. Very impressed. Finally, there were some wrinkles on my end (nothing to do with them). They worked with me to iron them out in a very, very, fair manner. Couldn't be happier with John specifically or the Bachman dealership in general. More
10,000 Mile Service I called the dealer a few days in advance to setup an appointment for Saturday service. Arrived about 30 minutes before appointment. The service department did an inspection of the car and found a nail in the rear passenger tire. Thought I would have to pay for the tire replacement. Talked with Drew our salesperson and he thought we bought extended service. Ended up we had and the repair was taken care of and under warranty. (No cost out of pocket for the work performed.) This was my first service with Bachman and it was what I expect. Customer waiting area was not bad. I plan to use them for all my service needs. The service department was going through some changes at the time of the service. This did cause some issues with paperwork but everything went vary well. More

From my dealings with Sam Kennedy, my internet contact, too the overall experience of meeting and working with my sales agent Drew Redmond. Drew is a courteous and hard working young man who made sure that my questions were answered in a prompt and timely fashion. Considering I ordered my car he took the time to keep me updated on my cars status until actual delivery to the showroom. I am very satisfied with the interaction that I enjoyed with Drew as well as the other staff that helped with my purchase. I've already recommended them to a neighbor who is impressed with my VW Sportwagen! More
Poor Service I made appointment several weeks ago for the first serving, 10K 9AM Saturday morning. After arriving at 08:35, I was second in line. While waiting in line I spoke to the diver of the first car who told me he didn't have an appointment. At 09:03 the garage door was opened and we drove our cars in. A representative went over to the first person in line and started to assist him.. I stood there for a couple of minutes turn around and saw another representative helping the third car in line? Both reps went inside after a few minutes I walked in and ask the question exactly how does this work? The customer (number 3) apologized and said he had told the VW representative I was next but the rep had stated not to worry about it. While waiting I overheard another customer saying to this same Bachman rep he was going to call the manager to complain. The rep replied that today was his last day; he had excepted a position with BMW. After waiting several hours I was fanally told my car was ready. I was given the keys to my car and went out to drive away only to find the radio was on and would not go off! I went back in and another another rep came out and was unable to shut the radio off after trying for several minutes. After another 20 minutes they were able to resolve the problem I was told by reinstalling a software update. No excuse for handing a customer the keys after servicing a vehicle without insuring the vehicle was ready. I won't not be back. More

We really thought we were going to get a Prius, but decided we should drive the Jetta first. We worked with Drew Redmond, who is such a nice guy. He knows his stuff and takes more of the "information" approach as opposed to a swarmy hard sell, "What can we do to get you in this car tonight?" Drew was knowledgeable and also was able to work with Jeff Pence to get us a great trade-in allowance for our 2010 Corolla. We had gone to CarMax and they offered $9000. We had in our heads we wanted at least $10K and ended up with well over $11K, which was great. Drew took his time and really introduced the car to us, getting all the bluetooth set up on our certified 2013 Jetta hybrid! It's always a 3-4 hour ordeal to buy a car from start to finish. The good thing today was that it was fun talking and laughing with Drew, who is so good-natured. It's the second time we bought a car from this dealer, and without question, they will be the first one we go to when it is time for another car! Highly recommend it. More

I had a High Pressure Fuel Pump failure at 139,000 miles which essentially totaled the car. When I called VW they told me they could not help me. The dealership was able to get VW to pay for the repair. If you have a TDI from 2009 or 2010, be aware that the HPFP has a weakness causing total failure. My car is the third into Bachman THIS WEEK for the same problem. VW has paid for this failure, but should probably issue a recall. More

I brought my Passat in to exchange for a Golf (downsizing seemed the right thing to do), but left with my second Jetta Sportwagen, instead. I couldn't be more pleased. Sam Kennedy listened to my expectations and explained all my options thoroughly and accurately. I am extremely pleased with my selection, and the entire process couldn't have been completed more smoothly. I am already thinking about my next VW from Bachman; hopefully, it will be the CC. More

Since I previously owned a Jetta I knew the reliability and was ready to jump in. Bachman had the best prices and selection, even better than closer to my home. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted, they had it and I drove away with something that 'fits' me better than previous car. I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership. More

Unfortunately, I didn't have the luxury of time to really research anything before I had to start seriously looking to buy. To me, the scariest part of buying a car was the idea of working with a salesperson who was out to sell me a car by any means possible- even if it meant extremely pressuring me or being downright dishonest. (I felt this was especially true in my case where the salesperson would know I was in a crunch where I HAD to buy a car.) After being to 4 other lots & talking to "slick" salespeople, I walked onto Bachman's lot expecting it to be the case there, too. I was so wrong! Drew came and introduced himself and it didn't take me long to judge his character is 180 degrees from the stereotypical used car salesman. He is passionate about the Volkswagen brand (which I knew NOTHING about) and I enjoyed learning why this brand would be a great fit for me. I then knew I wanted a Jetta, but I still wanted to make sure it was the RIGHT Jetta. That night, he found out about a car new to the lot & he researched it until 10pm to see if it was the right one for me! Then, he met me there on his day off this morning so I could test drive it. It was really cool because I could tell that he was just as excited to have found me the perfect car as I was. Needless to say, it's mine! I will be back to Bachman & will be asking for Drew in the future. But not for a while... I want to enjoy my Jetta first :) More
