Multiple problems with Bales Auto Mall , Jeffersonville IN April 23, 2014 I purchased a used Honda CR-V at Bales Motor Company Jeffersonville, IN, I wish I had not. When purchased the eng , Jeffersonville IN April 23, 2014 I purchased a used Honda CR-V at Bales Motor Company Jeffersonville, IN, I wish I had not. When purchased the engine ran rough with the check engine light on all the time, but was assured by salesman, Eric Hughes it just needed a tune up, I should have run then. I received the temporary tags good till 5/23/2014 or one month after purchase, this became a problem also. On 5/16/2014 I received a letter from the general sales manager, Colleen Van Houten wanting to know how Bales Motor Co. was doing. The letter asked if Eric Hughes had been in touch, among other things about my overall satisfaction, since I was not at all satisfied I thought I would call Ms. Van Houten. Five times over 2 days I got the run around and was finally transferred to Jeremy Barhart at 2pm on 5/22/14, he is the used car manager. He denied any thing being wrong with the Honda which at that point was at our mechanic in need of an exhaust valve replacement, which was found due to simply reading the engine code for the check engine light. The second problem I discussed with Mr. Barhart was that I had not received my title for this car 3 weeks after purchase, he assured me he would get on that and call me right back- it’s been three months and surprise no call. I hung up and called the Secretary of State, State of Indiana, Auto Dealer Service Division they informed me I should have gotten the title in 2 weeks’ time and now had to send a certified letter to the dealer demanding the title, with ten days for them to respond. Certified letter was sent on 5/23/2014 then on June 12th 2014 I finally got my title from Bales Auto Mall almost 7 weeks after purchase. I credit the local field examiner and the Secretary of State for handling this. The problems stated are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg there were/are many more. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone; hopefully you can learn from my problems and avoid Bales Motor Co. D.G. More

My first experience was an oil change, after waiting an hour I went to see where my Jeep was in line, it hadn't moved, I left without the oil change. The next time I got a recall letter from Chrysler, so I made an appointment to get the recall fixed. I drove an hour, had my wife follow so we could leave the vehicle. The service person said , "oh we won't have any parts in stock to fix that" So why did they let me make an appointment?. They supposedly ordered parts and said they would call when they came in, so I waited for their call, after 4 weeks I went to the local Jeep dealer, (where I should have bought my Jeep) and they were nice and very helpful. They ordered parts on a Monday, the following Monday they installed them. This is how a service dept. should work. I am still waiting on Bales to call after 6 weeks. I will never buy a vehicle from them ever again. More
