I was sent out with Vic who felt the same problem. I left the car and was called the next day by Bill who said that my AWD transfer case had failed. They installed the new case under warranty and all seems to be OK. Thanks Bill,Vic and the service department at Main Line BMW. More
Low-Pressure, Very Helpful, Great Salesperson (Lou Whitener) This rating has everything to do with the quality of our salesperson, Lou Whitener. She is outstanding!!! We were looking at a CPO 2016 328i Sedan wit This rating has everything to do with the quality of our salesperson, Lou Whitener. She is outstanding!!! We were looking at a CPO 2016 328i Sedan with X-Drive and had a trade-in. Lou handed the process in a very professional yet very friendly manner when it came to informing us about every aspect of the car and the pricing. We had a bit of a struggle agreeing on the trade-in value of my car, but we got that ironed-out after she allowed us to speak with the person who handles such matters (Lou doesn't value the trade-ins herself). The deal we reached was very fair from all perspectives, and Lou made sure everything was ready for us on delivery day. Upon taking delivery, the car was fully detailed and in pristine condition (just as promised), and Lou then gave us a one-hour explanation of the car's features that was as thorough as what we would have received from one of the BMW Geniuses. Lou even checked-in on us a few days later to see how things were going with the car after delivery, and again offered up her own time to help us understand any of the inner workings of the iDrive system. She is an outstanding salesperson and I give her my highest possible recommendation in terms of her integrity, product knowledge, and interpersonal skills. She knows BMWs extensively, she's great with people, and she will deliver everything she promises her clients. Great job!!! More

Terrible customer service Was a customer here for about one year and over $10,000 but I'm finally fed up, I will be taking my business to VAC motorsports. I think some of the s Was a customer here for about one year and over $10,000 but I'm finally fed up, I will be taking my business to VAC motorsports. I think some of the service staff here at BMW of the Main Line may be fine, but bad luck I got assigned twice to Zack Everett, a callous, dishonest and aloof individual who I would hope you never have the displeasure of dealing with. In a visit around 3 months ago for an inspection, Zack recommended I get new tires and quoted me at an outrageous price. I found the same tires much cheaper on tirerack.com and got a local mechanic to install them for $50 each. During this experience, in trying to get in touch with Zack, he was never available and would not return my calls, I had the pleasure of dealing with a different service staff member (Shawn? who is no longer there) who consistently covered for Zack as he artfully dodged and failed to return calls. Shawn was sad to hear that I ordered my tires indirectly from tirerack.com because it is their shop policy to match their prices. Zack in his dishonestly neglected to mention that to me even when I told him I was going to go through tirerack.com, presumably because he wanted to squeeze me on price, hoping I would pay up out of convenience. I ended up dealing with Shawn more than Zack, and paying near $10,000 for the work, which was good, although the customer service was not. The final straw came in a recent visit when I took in my car after the clutch had failed one night and I had it towed to the shop. The clutch had been replaced at this stop about 15 months and 10,000 miles ago, and was still under warranty. When I called at 8:00 in the morning to see if I could come by and get a loaner car while they worked on mine, Zack said they didn't have any but he was expecting cars in that day and he would call me to let me know. Unsurprisingly, having been through this song and dance with Zack again, he did not call back until I called to check in around 3, whoever answer said Zack was busy at the moment but would get back to me. When he didn't over an hour later and the service phone number went to the answering machine, I called the sales department and asked to be transferred to Zack, who informed me that loaners were in but he had neglected to follow up and mention it. Several days later, Zack called to tell me that they were classifying the clutch as "burnt up" due to wear and tear, and would not honor the warranty, and will charge me full price for the clutch replacement. He also recommended I pay for a flywheel replacement at full price, which I declined to do. I find it slightly surprising that, when I told Zack that not honoring the warranty would be the end of our relationship, he did not even offer a discount on the repair to keep my business, given how much money I had already paid with them and was likely to continue doing for other maintenance, but it's the kick in the pants I needed to switch away from this shop. I have already ordered a new, genuine OEM flywheel from AutoHausAZ.com for a quarter of the price with free shipping and a warranty that they will honor, I'll drive my car down to VAC and have them put it in, I'm sure I will save over $1,000 this way. I will miss the convenience of having a shop so close to my office, but VAC is near my home, and worth almost any price to not have to deal with an individual like Zack who doesn't treat customers with enough respect to return their calls, make them aware of store policies, or act in a generally non-patronizing manner. I'd imagine BMW of the Main Line will miss my patronage, but it's tough to infer that from their customer service. I'll be happy to pick up my car tomorrow and be rid of having to deal with him for good. If anyone insists on getting their vehicle serviced here, I would implore you to go out of your way to be assigned to a service technician other than Zack, but it probably speaks to the general quality of the operation that he has been employed for so long. I know I'll be telling my coworkers who own BMWs and likewise work nearby to avoid this place. More
Be aware I purchased a car from here and months later I'm having to deal with lost license plate from a trade in car - when I went to update my insurance I was I purchased a car from here and months later I'm having to deal with lost license plate from a trade in car - when I went to update my insurance I was told I didn't have insurance to this car and I've been getting violations mailed to me for the violations this license plate is getting. What a wonderful dealer. Kudos Had just about the worst car service experience ever at BMW of the Main Line today. My car needed a complimentary Oil change, an inspection, (compl Had just about the worst car service experience ever at BMW of the Main Line today. My car needed a complimentary Oil change, an inspection, (complimentary) wiper blade replacement (After I had spoken with another advisor (Debbie) weeks before the appointment to verify). And at the same time my car needed wheel repair, after numerous attempts to contact an OR ANY advisor for 2 weeks to verify I can get the wheel repair on the day of my appointment, one advisor (Nick) finally calls me back stated just bring the car in that day and let the advisor know you need wheel repair (That's it, so easy...NOT). I arrived at 10AM exactly to check-in. sat down for 10 minutes, was approached by an advisor named (Cameron). Who seemed nice and helpful (at the beginning). Gave him a list of items I mentioned above that needed done, IN ADDITION I have put a note on the day I requested the appointment which was 2 months before ASKING someone to call me back about the videos I have of the intermittent issues I have with the car's exhaust valve randomly rattles when turning on the car, also when unlocking door or trunk the under the engine what appears to be a possessed electrical issue. (days, weeks and months gone by no calls or call backs after I left a voice mail). Cameron took down all the notes at the end ( Ok I feel confident all the requests and issues will be fixed ). At the end of the conversation, like with all my other cars, I ASKED to make sure the car is not to be washed at the end of the service. Took a loaner and went out for the day to enjoy myself and relax while the car's being taken care of. 5 hours after, got a call from Cameron, stating Oil change is done, inspection is done, wipers replaced (LET THE HORROR BEGIN). the total will be $235. wait what do you guys inspect the car with computers made out of diamonds? Asked Cameron why? he said oh because the price is for the wiper and the inspection (BUT I was told by Debbie the wipers were free via email confirmation) At the same time, he told me the wheels were NOT repair, due to my tire and wheel warranty does not cover cosmetics (Which I understood ahead of time, which is why I called and asked 2 weeks ahead of time if the wheel repair person was going to be there this day and was told Yes by Nick). Now here comes the offering of alternatives. Cameron: Ok Mr Lu. let me call our shop foreman and verify the wipers are free, and also let me check if the wheel service guy is in the area ( at 3:30PM Friday? ) Got a call back stating the wipers will be free and the wheel service guy will not be in the location until Tuesday, and was told to make another appointment, without telling me if I need to pick the car today or can I leave it until tuesday when it is done (He hangs up the phone). I called back, left a voice mail, and left a message with one of the scheduler) never received a call back. after about an hour later got call back by that time it was already 5:20PM and the shop closes at 6PM. So Cameron, can I leave the car there until tuesday? Oh no my man, we need the loaner back (you will need to rush in this friday rush hour traffic, so accommodating). So I gave up, and drove to the shop and made it there just in-time 5:55PM. As I was walking in, guess who's walking away from their counter and went sneaking out the side door? Yes you guessed it (Cameron). Paid for the horrendous of a service which I won't even wish it on my worst enemy. Walked out and saw that my car was WASHED (When I told him not to wash it), how do I know you asked? from all the water and soapy marks and dirt marks that was left by their professional detailer, here's the cherry on top of the ice cream. Some bird dropping to top it all off, OOooohh thanks a lot for parking my car under and birds nest so considerate. If I knew the service would be this bad, I would have kept my Mini cooper and received 10x the better service. What is even more pathetic is the fact that Mini of the Mainline right down the street has only 2 advisors working at most, and BMW of the mainline has nearly 4x more advisors working, yet the call backs I receive from Mini of the mainline is nearly 100%. but BMW of the mainline is only 10%. Thank you for your great service. More
Not a good place for taking your service Personally I am fine with the service they did, and my adviser Zach is good. However, I give this rating to the dealer for two reasons. 1) At first Personally I am fine with the service they did, and my adviser Zach is good. However, I give this rating to the dealer for two reasons. 1) At first, they estimated that the service may be overnight and I needed a rental car. It was blown my mind that they took me to a local enterprise to get a Hyundai as the rental car. From my past experiences with other brands, like Merc or Porsche, the rental car should be their own brands. 2) It was happy that my service finished early, which meant I can pick up the car later in that afternoon. What is the most amazing part was that they did not do a car wash for me. I am not a person who need to save that car wash money, but it is a detail point that a good dealership should do. Anyway, I do not recommend this dealership for doing your service. More
