STAY AWAY! I was a potential out of state buyer for a great looking 335i and immediately noticed a relative lack of communication from this dealership. An entire day would go by before getting a call bac great looking 335i and immediately noticed a relative lack of communication from this dealership. An entire day would go by before getting a call back or email. I had to leave voicemails and emails with them blatantly stating that I wanted to place a deposit on a vehicle and they dealership called me back 2 days later. Not once mentioning that I wanted to buy the vehicle sight unseen. Naturally, they claim that the vehicle sold but oh wait, "there is a lovely one available for $15,000 more." Call me crazy but bait and switch like this is illegal. This dealership is a joke and dealing with them is nothing but a waste of time. I love my BMW but one more poor experience from a dealership like this will send me right to Audi. More
TERRIBLE service. Bought a pre-owned BMW from Inskip in August. Called to make a service appointment and was transferred to a service tech. No answer so I left a detailed message with my phone number. Two August. Called to make a service appointment and was transferred to a service tech. No answer so I left a detailed message with my phone number. Two weeks later, no call back..... I called back again, same exact experience; left another message but one week later still no call back. Would come with a number for a car, and then later would say , that it was sold. I understand, the sale wouldn't hold for a person, if they have a customer. But its a courtesy to inform the potential buyer, say , that it was sold. I understand, the sale wouldn't hold for a person, if they have a customer. But its a courtesy to inform the potential buyer, in advance, so that it saves a trip. And wouldn't apply the % discount for the different but similar vehicle, stating that price was for the previous car. Do I have to start again?? Went to other BMW in RI, bought my X3, very satisfied with their work. Would strongly recommend BMW of Newport. They are small, but honest and true to their words.. If you read other previous reviews of this BMW, you would know that its not upto its reputation. And strongly, DO NOT recommend Scott. He sounds very nice, but he isNOT. More
purchased pre-owned certified bmw. car was delivered without being prepared for delivery; i.e. it was dirty inside, had not been detailed and it had all the previous owners settings still in the compute without being prepared for delivery; i.e. it was dirty inside, had not been detailed and it had all the previous owners settings still in the computer system of car. was told "that's the way it comes." car was delivered without the caps for the "charger/previously known as cigarette lighter " which is a safety hazard if nothing else. we were told this was a USED car and that's the way it comes. we were kept at dealership much longer than needed in the attempt to erase previous owner's information, and to talk about the other conditions. Further phone call has assured us the car will be cleaned; however, in addition to this being annoying and inappropriate one has to wonder what else was not done that should have been. will report back after the detailing is complete. quite a negative experience.eal dealership makes big show of taking photo of customer.......seriously? present a clean car to the customer, save the bow. Very bad experience after purchashing vehicles for well over 20 years from this dealership. Tried to sell me a brand new 2013 carbon black X3, 35i that had chips through the paint on the driver side door. over 20 years from this dealership. Tried to sell me a brand new 2013 carbon black X3, 35i that had chips through the paint on the driver side door. Saw these chips and told the sales rep that I needed them taken out(painted) before I purchased. The sales rep said the vehicle would be "perfect" at delivery. Well, it was not perfect at delivery as promised! Signed all the paperwork and stood ready, willing and able to make the required down payment for the vehicle on May 3, 2013. Ready to take delivery as well. Dealer tried to pull a fast one via touch up on the area instead of professionally painting or otherwise repairing the chips. Brand new $56,000.00. Very unprofessional. They now have this very same SUV advertised on their website. Rather than satisfy a customer of the dealership for more than 20 years they would rather try and sell the same vehicle without correcting the problem! Very sad commentary for BMW who prides itself on customer loyalty and appreciation. Will not buy from nor recommend this dealership!! They makes promises they don't keep!! They don't care about their customers!! Buyer beware!! MDH More
I just leased an BMW X3 from BMW of Warick, RI. What a great experience!!! It was a very simple process and no haggling! The absolute best part of my experience was my sales person Nate Meranda, he was great experience!!! It was a very simple process and no haggling! The absolute best part of my experience was my sales person Nate Meranda, he was awesome from the minute I met him! He helped me through every aspect of the lease and even called me the next day to be sure everything was okay with the new vehicle. I probably would have not purchased the vehicle so quickly if it was not for my almost immediate trust in Nate!! Thanks Nate! You are a true asset to the company!!! More
Lesson learned: SA(service advisor) makes or break your experience. I was transferred to a new SA because Barbara left. She (the new SA) was unprofessional, rude, impatient, condesending(the way I feel, experience. I was transferred to a new SA because Barbara left. She (the new SA) was unprofessional, rude, impatient, condesending(the way I feel, don't know how she treat her other clients) and dishonest. I have never feel so mistreated as a paying customer in my life. The technician diagnosed transmission leak and recommended proactive repair while replacing water pump. I accepted the recommendation and paid for the leak repair while putting up with the attitude of the new SA (I want to be loyal thinking she might have bad days). What a mistake! The transmission is still leaking after the repair (as an enthusiast, I do some DIY and inspect my car regularly). Instead of making things right, she demanded me to wait a week while my transmission is at risk of running dry and fail as of the leak because the shop is busy(liar). Makes me wonder why I can get in so fast for service but needs to wait when there's issue with the service. I asked for the manager and another SA, Mr. Mark Wright step in because he was unavailable. He asked me to come in anytime I want, diagnose the issue, goodwill the repair, put me in a loaner and took care of everything. I applaud the technician team for been honest (not looking for excuses, unexpected issue happen with original repair, I fully understand), Mr. Mark Wright for been a consummate professional, and the service manager (Kevin Benway) for maintaining a fantastic culture in the department (allowing goodwill repair for the issue). Highly satisfied with experience (minus the bad SA) and feel the car (my baby) is rejuvenated. Thanks for reading. More
Why is it dealers feel they can lie and no one will know. Let me be the first to let you in on a little secret. People can tell when you're not being truthful AND we find it insulting! Here is the deal. Let me be the first to let you in on a little secret. People can tell when you're not being truthful AND we find it insulting! Here is the deal. I go in because I know for a fact that the X5 35D was not selling well and it was late in the year, they had half a dozen of them or more, and BMW was offering a $4500 eco credit. (is it me or does this seem like a car that isn't moving well) The dealer then tells me these things are selling hot! I ask, "really, then why is BMW offering the ECO credit?" I'm told, "thats the federal government, thats not from BMW." Don't they know there is this thing called the inter webs? Seriously!? A quick surf over to BMW.com brought that lie to light! Then they offer me a demo with thousands of miles on it and still don't even come down to invoice! (here's another tell. they had at least 2 demos! They aren't going to be letting sales managers drive home cars that selling like crazy!) I HATE car dealer BS. I'm much happier with the Porsche Cayenne I ended up in. It is a model year newer and MUCH more fun to drive! I paid the same price they were trying to get for the year model older X5 35D and I got a better number on my trade. Oh and what they said my trade in was worth was over $10,000 under what they were selling for on autotrader and they would do me a favor and offer me $8,000 under retail. Let me tell you I did MUCH better there as well! Kiss my Butt BMW of Warwick! This was the 2nd horrible experience with a local BMW dealer. The other was worse but, I'd still NEVER buy a car from this dealership. I happen to LOVE BMWs and BMW was my first choice in a new SUV but thanks to the treatment of the two dealers I experienced, I went with another brand. They took someone who felt there would be nothing better than to be in new BMW and turned him into someone that will NEVER even consider a new BMW again! It has nothing to do with the vehicles, they truly are amazing, I'd just never do business at a BMW dealer! Good work guys! Well done! More
I just purchased a new BMW X3. Shopped at 8 dealers working mostly through email looking for a responsive sales person who was willing to meet my needs while not playing games. I found Shawn Harrison working mostly through email looking for a responsive sales person who was willing to meet my needs while not playing games. I found Shawn Harrison as being a very friendly and helpful sales person. He was easy to work with and willing to work the deal I desired. The pick up experience was also enjoyable (that is if you don't mind giving up a lot of money for the new vehicle). We had a lot of fun with the white glove treatment. If you are looking for a great car sales person who will help you along the way, I recommend Shawn Harrison at BMW of Warwick. More
While they were very friendly to me I found that NONE of the work promised to me was done. I bought a used car and when I purchased it they promised that it would be cleaned and detailed, this was NOT DONE the work promised to me was done. I bought a used car and when I purchased it they promised that it would be cleaned and detailed, this was NOT DONE at all. I ended up leaving my rental their at their insistance they had the car towed back to the rental place which I was on the hook for. $120.00 This was a pretty big pain in my butt to get straightened out. All in all not a big deal in the scheme of things they just didn't follow through the way they said they would... The car is GREAT, but inskip has nothing to do with that BMW made the car great... Everything they had their hands on was sub-par work with a smile and pat on the back More
