Horrible New Car Purchase Experience – Complete lack of customer service, communication, or honesty on the part of management. If these are the people BMW has representing them, I doubt I’ll ever buy anoth customer service, communication, or honesty on the part of management. Don’t Buy Here! !! BMW of Tuscaloosa will not be my choice. I have had the worst experience at this dealership. Within 2 weeks of buying my vehicle, the driver train !! BMW of Tuscaloosa will not be my choice. I have had the worst experience at this dealership. Within 2 weeks of buying my vehicle, the driver train malfunctioned. Soon after that, my air wasn’t functioning. Luckily, my car was still under warranty. As soon as my warranty expired, my computer system connected to the dash is malfunctioning. Oh! I can’t forget the fact that I had to have the hood of my car repainted because it started peeling. Yes, a 2017 BMW paint was chipping away. After being looked at by a trained eye, it was brought to my attention that there were two different paints on the vehicle; a sign that the vehicle may have been damaged/wrecked prior to purchase. This didn’t show up on the Carfax or Autocheck report. Now let’s talk about service. I have ALWAYS had an issue with service even with an appointment. Problems such as: backup, unavailability of a rental when I reserved one or UNCLEANED rental when I did receive one. My most recent encounter with the service department was my absolute last one! I had an appointment; drove down from Huntsville (157 miles, one way) only to be told that service was backed up and asked if I could reschedule (loaner wasn’t available). I did not opt to reschedule because of the distance I had already driven and because I do not live in the area. After that encounter, I asked to speak with the sales manager. He ensured me that they would “work” my vehicle in. I received updates via text, under the impression that my car was being serviced. WRONG!!! Three hours later, I received an update that the system was down and my vehicle couldn’t be serviced. This was entirely a waste of time, money (I had to take off work) and consideration of the customer. In addition, I feel this was a tactic the sales manager used to attempt to appease me as the customer, while supporting the claim that the department was behind which was expressed when I arrived. Needless to say, I’m highly disappointed with BMW of Tuscaloosa. This dealership does not represent the brand well at all. More
This has been the worst car buying experience of my life! I purchased a car from this dealership 6 WEEKS AGO at this point (review will be updated as time passes) and they still have not sent the registratio I purchased a car from this dealership 6 WEEKS AGO at this point (review will be updated as time passes) and they still have not sent the registration paperwork to my local tax office! I have spoken with the "finance" guy Braxton no less than 5 times over the course of these 6 weeks and left numerous voice mails because he has ceased communication with me after promising to have his "assistant" do the work for him. I have also had smoke blown my way from the salesman Sawyer about the issue as well. I would highly recommend STAYING AWAY FROM THIS SHADY DEALERSHIP. Because of these issues, I now have to write a letter to the corporate office and get a lawyer involved due to shady consumer practices. More
If you have service DO NOT leave a single thing in your car , they have thieves there and im not tslking overnight im talking as fast as a oil change. Purchased a certified preowned car May 13, 2022. I was told that the car was fine and passed all inspections and provided documents to accompany their supposed accusations. June 15, a little after h I was told that the car was fine and passed all inspections and provided documents to accompany their supposed accusations. June 15, a little after having the car a month I experienced a drive train malfunctioned that disabled all power to the vehicle while in traffic. The car was taken back to the dealership where they diagnosed it with simply needing an update. The car was picked up June 17th. June 21 the car experienced the same drive train issues again but this time the car never was able to restore power again and had to be towed to the dealership. I was shuttled to my residence because according to them because they had no loaners available but they would get back to me by the end of the day with something. On June 22nd Mike the service rep reached out and told me that the car needed a new fuel tank, fuel pump, and Transfer pump. After days of waiting I received a call from Darrell on the 23rd stating that I would not be provided a loaner because of a falsified report from a shuttle driver and that they reserve the right not to provide a loaner. The dealership has left me with no vehicle or assistance with acquiring a vehicle for a car that was purchased from them a month and 10 days ago. On top of the fact that false reports were given to me saying that the car only needed an update to only report to me 6 days later that it needed major repairs. I would not recommend purchasing or taking your vehicle to them for repairs because of false reports being generated. More
This dealership has very recently undergone a major personnel revamp. The new management and sales staff seem lasered in on customer service and satisfaction, which they delivered and we enjoyed tremen personnel revamp. They operate with a Can-Do attitude and are intent on earning your business. They more than earned ours! PS If you're shopping BMW, Matthew, their BMW Genius (Platinum) should make the difference over anywhere you could shop. He translates new tech goodies into usable, valuable, got-to-have improvements in the driving world. You have to experience it to understand it, but take my word: it's worth it!! Many thanks, folks! Poor Service! Lately, BMW lacks communication with customers, lacks the manpower to complete services in a timely manner, and provides poor customer experiences. My check engine light was on. I was told the earliest appointment available was Thursday. I was also told no loaner was available. I was told it would take an hour to diagnose the problem. It took three days to be contacted with a diagnosis. It took almost another week to fix my car. After a day of driving it, the check engine light was on again, As of today, it took BMW, five days to diagnose the problem with no estimation of when my car will be ready. More
I contacted them about a vehicle yesterday and was told it was still available via email(by Payton Jett) and over the phone (by a manager) ...I was approved for financing ! I live 120 miles away,I got up this morning 7am to be at the dealership when they opened being the I had about a 2hour drive from my house to the dealership,I get to Tuscaloosa to the bank in the Walmart parking lot to withdraw my deposit and my gut says check online to make sure it’s still available,I check and the car is gone from all websites so I call the dealership and was told the car sold YESTERDAY! let me be fair the deal on a 2012 BMW 750il was full of twists because financing , finally got financed this occurred on Jan.13,2021. I had the vehicle for about 13 days I drove to the dealership from Birm twists because financing , finally got financed this occurred on Jan.13,2021. I had the vehicle for about 13 days I drove to the dealership from Birmingham on the 26th found out that financing fell through with the Bank, they took the liberty without my permission to run my credit with another bank. Upon speaking with the General Manager he told me that they would take the vehicle back and I agreed but once I agreed then they got angry I put 4,000.00 down I had 1,200 miles on the vehicle with no knowledge of failed financing. The dealership wanted to take 600.00 from me for mileage I refused and had a conservation with the GM I honestly believed that there would not be an issue to get my money back. The GM agreed to refund the entire down payment they kept me waiting for several hours and I still could not get the check I had no way home back to Birmingham I had to call my to come and get me no one offered not even the salesman which I respected. The GM stated that they would overnight the check okay. I called the GM several times to inquire about the refund after the third call , the GM called me back very angry and I asked him the refund I was expecting overnight the GM told me that I was not worth the stamp it would cost him , I almost lost my cool but I did not he stated that I mistreated his people, I did not know what he was talking about but now I have to drive to Tuscaloosa in the morning on a dangerous highway because the GM did not keep his word. I was told by finance that me having to wait was my fault. I served in Vietnam as a marine and I retired as a Deputy Sheriff I will not be mistreated by anyone because I am standing up for what is RIGHT and FAIR. This was my First and Last experience with BMW PERIOD!!!!!!! More

Then they had the nerve to try and sale me something totally out of the range of what we had discussed. A big waste of my time! More
