Dear Denagibbins, Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m very sorry to hear about your recent experience — especially after taking a day off work to have your recall addressed. That is the last thing we want any customer to go through, and I truly apologize for the inconvenience and the additional wait you encountered for the shuttle. I do want to clarify one important point: recall appointments can only be scheduled by our dealership directly. Unfortunately, the BMW call center does not have access to confirm parts availability or recall capacity at individual Centers. That appears to be where the miscommunication occurred, and I apologize that you were caught in the middle of that. That said, it is still our responsibility to take care of you once you arrive, and we clearly did not meet that expectation. I will be addressing this with our team immediately to ensure we provide clearer communication and better planning moving forward. If you are willing, I would appreciate the opportunity to personally assist you in getting your recall completed as quickly and conveniently as possible. While I’m glad to hear that our team member treated you kindly, I sincerely apologize for the significant delay and the stress it caused—especially with the tight timing you had to pick up your preschoolers. Your experience is not the level of efficiency or communication we expect to deliver. An oil change appointment should not result in a five-hour visit, and we clearly failed to set proper expectations and prioritize your vehicle based on your schedule. I understand how frustrating it must have been to be promised a 1:00 p.m. completion time and not receive your vehicle until nearly 3:00 p.m., especially when you had no backup transportation options. I also apologize for any feeling of being up-sold. Our intention is always to provide transparent information about recommended maintenance, but it should never come across as pressure or an inconvenience.
