I have been bringing my vehicles (3) to BMW of towson for over 15 years. I never had an issue in the past, and when I did have an issue with the service advisor they immediately corrected it to be agreeable over 15 years. This time I can't say the same and I feel very cheated. I came in for an oil change and multipoint inspection. I brought the vehicle in on my own and I made the appointment. When I was there I told the advisor that my battery seems like it's going and most likely will it require a battery. He quoted me a battery and then said the multi-inspection will cover that and I will let you know. I said okay, and then he said there is a brake flush that is required and I said, NO not at this time due to the need for a battery. I said explicitly the only thing I want is an oil change if needed, multi-inspection, and battery if needed. He printed out the long document of things that no one EVER goes over with people, they just point us where to sign. Given I told him what I wanted I didn't feel the need to look it over as I never had an issue in the past. I get a text mid day confirming a battery is needed and it will cost $483+tax. I texted back please replace battery. When I went to pick up the vehicle the total was $850.57. I proceeded to ask how what other charges besides the battery are on there. The service advisor and worse manager came over arguing with me saying there were standard scope things performed. I said I didn't give authorization as I said only things were oil, multi-inspection, and battery. An oil change wasn't due yet and I already have the 3 year plan regardless so that doesn't incur any additional cost. The manager threatened me saying I signed a "legal" document and I must pay despite the fact the service advisor didn't update for what we discussed. I feel this customer service discussion was so inappropriate that I was cheated. I will not bring my car back here knowing how their customer service acted in a totally in appropriate manner of which cost me a relationship that they don't value. They should have proceeded to either take the additional fee off my invoice or at least give a discount due to the miscommunication on their part. Instead they proceed to threaten and treat a customer as a 3rd class citizen. More

This place is top notch and I really love that no matter how old or new my car is, I am treated with the same respect for an 8 year old car as I would with an 8 day old car. Jonathan (Yoni) is the SA I have dealt with the last two times I've been here(one for repair and one time for service). This guy is golden and such an asset to this company. He has such a friendly demeanor and when he speaks, this is confirmed by the professional he displays. Thanks Yoni More
Crooks & Thieves. I was also told by one of the service managers that they were not going to work on my vehicle if I was going to leave a bad review. I brought my car in for a MD state inspection/ Apple Car Play, and was told of a coolant system recall, and allowed them to fix the issue. 20 miles from the shop there is a catastrophic failure of the cooling system shutting down the engine. I was told it was a coincidence, and charged several hundred dollars. After owning two 3 series and a 7 series, we will never purchase another BMW because of our experience with this dealership. More

We have always chosen to drive to Towson over closer BMW dealers because we liked the service we got. With this visit, the dealers parts manager asked my wife and I and another customer to please leave the customer’s lounge so he could conduct a outside business networking meeting in the lounge. We chose not to leave, so they conducted the meeting in our presence and asked that the TV be muted so they wouldn’t be interrupted! We have no problem with the need for a meeting, but it should have been conducted in a different location in the building or move the customer lounge to a different area for their meeting. The dealership is supposed to serve the customers and being asked to move because of an “outside” business meeting is off putting. We really like our customer service advisor (Derrick) and the service we receive in general but this incident is having us consider moving our business to a dealer closer to our home. More
BMW of Towson is my all-time favorite BMW dealer for service and Terrance is an excellent service advisor. I would recommend them to anyone needing service on their Bimmer.
