Thank you for reviewing your most recent service visit with us. We've researched our records both rental and repair to ensure we are talking to the right person and vehicle for this review. Here is what we've found. 1. We're perplexed to find you had a hard time getting an appointment for our facility when all appointments are cleared and signed off on from our management to ensure a quality experience, every customer, every day. Our appointment system is not left overnight without return phone calls, emails made. 2. We're perplexed to find you had a hard time accepting a non-BMW loaner vehicle for a repair. As with any dealership, BMW's are reserved first-come, first served and are not a mandatory gift from BMW. Yark BMW must contribute to the cost of BMW loaner vehicles to provide to its customers. At the time of your appointment, no remaining BMW's were available for use (as we do not make reservations, nor promises for their use). However, an alternate vehicle was available to you at no-charge. 3. Our records indicate the light in question was in-fact a fog lamp, rather than a taillamp. The fog-lamp had inches of water retained in it with aftermarket bulbs. Neither of which are warrantable and according to proper repair guidelines would require a new lamp assembly and not simply bulbs. 4. Although you may have taken the vehicle to another facility to have it replaced in the parking lot, we typically do not lay on our backs in a parking lot to gain access to broken fog lamp assemblies. Proper repair guidelines suggest the vehicle be lifted to ensure a proper replacement and fit. 5. We hope you truly don't feel we are a dishonest dealer. We provided you with accurate, reasonable and professional help with your vehicle. We have thousands of customers who agree and who regulary purchase multiple vehicles with us dating back into the 1980's when we first aquired our BMW store. BMW of North America has recognized us 8 times as one of its top dealers in customer satisfaction in the United States. Simply put, we would not be in business if we were dishonest. I think we will have to agree to disagree. I was not called back for my appt. and it took me 9 days to get my 5 series in once I did finally make the appt. Not the end of the world about the loaner, but just added to my frustration. It's hard to go from a nice car to a typical Chevy clunker especially when a client was in town. In fact it was my tail light that was out. Maybe a rear fog light if that's the technical name of it. There was nothing to lay on the back to fix, all they did was open the trunk and gain access from the trunk area. I was told it was quite the process & needed to be put up on a lift to do this. Not true. Anyhow, lucky for me I am moving back to Florida in September. It is my hope that I have better luck with the dealer down there. I expect a high level of service from a bmw dealer and I feel I did not receive that.
