Break down service Service provided was excellent to say the least. Ultimately it took 5 weeks plus to complete the work due to faulty parts supplied by BMW. They quoted me around 1000 dollars for the water pump replacement on my 2008 BMW 528 xi,and additional 600 dollars for recommend replacement of the thermostat. When I asked what is the reason for the exo replacement on my 2008 BMW 528 xi,and additional 600 dollars for recommend replacement of the thermostat. When I asked what is the reason for the exorbitant fee for the thermostat replacement, Jim told me that the price reflects the fact that the access to the thermostat required significant amount of labor because it's not in the same vicinity as the water pump. That is not true. I was told a lie. The whole reason for the recommendation to replace the thermostat in the same time when the water pump is exactly because of the fact that they the labor required to get to the water pump and thermostat,both,is the same, because they are close by,and the replacement of the thermostat is a preventive maintenance/ measure because it saves the labor required in it's eventual replacement in the future. So I went with another shop which replaced both, water pump and thermostat for 1000 dollars. I saved 600 dollars . I was however send a bill from this dealership,149 dollars for the diagnostic,and additional bill for using shop supplies ( which is another lie). I contested the bill for the shop supplies. Only the diagnostic code reader was used,and I am charged exorbitant amount (149 dollars) just for that alone, but that wasn't enough, they are charging for using shop supplies, which in fact didn't use. When I told Jim I will take the car somewhere else,he immediately said that he wants me to bring the loaner car . I told him I would tomorrow ( I was at work) . He insisted that he needs the car because he had other customers ( ???). I am entitled to have a loaner car. It's in our agreement. That man was not only lying on the phone, but also had some patronising superiority issue ( I wasn't good enough to have the car). I told him that I would bring the loaner car tomorrow morning, which I did. Very unpleasant experience. I do not want to deal with this BMW representative again. More
John continues to provide honest and excellent service to me and my vehicle! I am always confident in the work done and if I have an issue, it always gets solved.
