Do Not Buy From This Dealership. My wife and I purchased a 2023 BMW M5 Competition from BMW of Tampa. The M5 was equipped with everything other than the M Drive Package which basical My wife and I purchased a 2023 BMW M5 Competition from BMW of Tampa. The M5 was equipped with everything other than the M Drive Package which basically just removes the speed limiter from the vehicle. I asked the salesperson other than tuning the vehicle was there anyway to remove this. The salesperson told my wife and I that it could be done through the BMW app after the break-in period. The salesman stated he had a BMW M3 that he was able to remove the speed limiter through the app without voiding the warranty since it was done through BMW. Later after buying the car. I found out there was no way to do this through the BMW app. So we called the dealership and spoke to 2 different Sales managers, Rodger and Andrea. After speaking with both of them. They agreed to refund us $1000. We were told the check would be mailed out on December 2nd. Today is December 15th and still no check. For the last 4 days of leaving messages for these sales managers. No return phone calls. It seems as if they are now ghosting us. 2nd issue. This dealership whether on a new or used car charges a non negotiable fee they call BMW of Tampa Advantage fee. This is almost a 2k fee for things like a rain repellent on the windshield and other junk applications/dealership services. This fee is nothing more than a junk fee to increase their profits on any vehicle. I tried to have it removed and Andrea one of the sales managers stated it could not be done and every buyer pays it. 3rd issue. We financed through them. We have AAA credit. We ended up getting a 7.69% interest rate. We bank with the bank they got the rate through and was told by that bank we could get a 4.59% rate with the same term. So their finance department really gouges you so they can make a ton of money on the yield spread they make from these banks. In short its money they make on the backend of the loan financed. I recommend staying away from this Tampa BMW dealership. If they are willing to treat a customer who buys a 140k automobile this way. Then I can only imagine how they would treat your average BMW buyer. More
