I am leaving one star because leaving no stars is not an option n this review. My review of this place is simple. Horrible. Don't walk out of this place, RUN out as quickly as possible. This past March I brought my car into due to some oil leaks which they repaired (dropped $2k). Then in May, I am seeing oil leaks again and thinking they missed something. Of course, no, it was "something totally different" which required more work. And of course they "noticed" a few other things that they recommended and felt needed to be done which included something involving going into the engine to do some repairs. Another few thousand out of my pocket. Then less then one week later (not a typo, less than one week later), my "service engine soon" light goes on. I'm of course thinking that since they were just doing stuff to the engine it must be related to something they just did literally less than a week ago. Of course not. After "careful analysis", another issue was found that required additional work. All told, I have dropped nearly $10k w/ these guys in a few months. At one point when I was there, I noticed some literature on their desk saying that they could offer a pay over time payment plan to qualified consumers. When I asked about this, I was deterred by my representative being told that the only way that they could offer this would be at a higher price for the work that was being done. Such a crock of xxxx. These guys are crooks. Think of the worst stories that you hear about used car sales people and this place is that times ten! I strongly encourage anyone who reads this to spread the word. Steer clear of this place. These guys will rob you blind and keep shoving their hand into your pocket looking for more money in your wallet and will never admit to potentially having made a mistake on the work that they do. Buyer beware. Please learn my mistake for using these fools multiple times in a row. Never again. More
Linnea Swanson saved me from the living xxxx of buying a car in 2022! She didn't feed me the same xx that I was hearing from every other dealership. An absolute pleasure to deal with. While every other dealership I was dealing with seemed to only be interested in their best interest....I knew from the start Linnea and Gary would get the job done for me and my wife. My car didn’t even get cleaned or vacuumed after I waited all morning and day with my daughter. No one asked us if we needed a ride across the highway to get food (thank God I had snacks for my child). I pay all morning and day with my daughter. There’s no way I realized I didn’t even get a receipt plus I paid all cash. This is the worst dealership!!! I’m taking my business somewhere else because normally I do not leave reviews, but this bad service was definitely a first. Also me and my daughter were left last when I made a prior appointment yet we waited 5 hours. By the time I got the bill I just paid and left because I had to worry about my child’s needs. Still once I got home and realized what had happened instead of BMW of Springfield being a hero they played me. Do not get played. Go to a dealership where people understand it’s not what you do it’s how you do it. More
During this difficult period with delays and shortages due to the world’s manufacturing and shipping supply chain issues, obtaining automotive replacement parts a real challenge. Also, with motor vehicles becoming ever more dependent on computers, finding service technicians who are trained in not just the mechanical aspects of servicing vehicles, but also able to accurately perform the sophisticated computer diagnostics, can be another challenge. Thankfully, BMW of Springfield seems to be weathering this tough market and has assembled a top-notch competent service staff that is doing their best to keep our vehicles running in top condition. In late March 2022, once again, Jacob Kolasinski, Assistant Service Manager at BMW of Springfield, really came through to help me sort out a number of serious issues on my 2016 BMW X5M with 91,500 miles. Typical for many BMW’s with rear air suspension, the compressor was about to reach the end of its useful life and needed to be replaced, which is expensive. Thankfully, they had one in stock and installed it and ensured that there were no air leaks through the lines or air springs. Also, several months ago I was involved in an automobile accident out of state and had to have my vehicle repaired by a local body shop. Unfortunately, they did not catch all of the damage to the vehicle that required to be either repaired or replaced. Most concerning since it was a potential safety hazard, the body shop did not tighten the bolts connecting my new steering assembly to the chassis. Thankfully, the well-trained Service Technicians at BMW of Springfield noticed this, video-documented it for me to share with the body shop and replaced the original, corroded bolts with new ones, tightened to the proper torque, then performed a necessary all-wheel alignment, satisfactorily resolving all issues. While this work was not cheap, it needed to be done. I now have the peace of mind that my vehicle is back in excellent condition and safe. We all want to have our vehicles serviced by trained, competent and observant mechanics/technicians, collaborating with and managed by thoughtful, caring service managers/advisors. I am done with BMW of Springfield! Poor service and caught trying to rip me off! They tried to charge me $1000 to replace my taillight! I looked up the MSRP of the parts, which was around $400, and con caught trying to rip me off! They tried to charge me $1000 to replace my taillight! I looked up the MSRP of the parts, which was around $400, and confronted them. Knowing they were busted, they did honor the MRSP price. Not honest, or trustworthy…beware!!! More
BMW of Springfield Service Department has an great Assistant Service Manager Jacob Kolasinski. He provides good customer service every service visit .When ever I bring my car in for service he is very Assistant Service Manager Jacob Kolasinski. We walked in without an appointment and were greeted by Linnea Swenson. She allowed us to test drive 4 different cars. The first was too big, then too small, last one was just right.
