For me the rating of 5 is not high enough. Mr. Angelo Zito, the General Sales Mgr. @ JMK makes walking into a dealership and buying a vehicle a pleasure. Another dozen or so of my friends and relatives have purchased BMW's from Mr. Zito in the same time frame and all come away with the same feeling. He is not just there to sell you a car, any problems that I encountered over the years he takes care of immediately. More
Tony Mancuso was deceiving during the sales process. I live in Wisconsin so during the conversation Mr Mancuso offered to inspect the vehicle in detail and provide me with details as to the vehicle's cond live in Wisconsin so during the conversation Mr Mancuso offered to inspect the vehicle in detail and provide me with details as to the vehicle's condition. This approach is something I have read on the internet that out of town buyers have used successfully. I was a bit apprehensive and mentioned that I could also contract a third party inspector. Mancuso indicated that he had never heard of such companies but assured me that JMK BMW is a very reputable dealer and that he was a 17 year employee. Mancuso sounded very professional and made me feel at ease so I agreed to use him as my "eyes" to inspect the car. I did tell Mancuso that I would want to know of dings, scratches and any stone type damage. Mr Mancuso called me back within a couple of hours and said that he had taken the car to lunch and reported to me the vehicle was in excellent condition and had no interior or exterior flaws (flawless). This car had only been driven for six months and had only 6000 miles so I believed him. Please know that according to KBB the definition of "Excellent" includes the following language: "it appears brand new, hasn't had bodywork (including paint), lacks rust, is in perfect mechanical condition and doesn't require any repairs whatsoever. A car in excellent condition has an entire record of service...". As a result of his inspection, I put a deposit over phone and flew to New Jersey. When I arrived at JMK the car had a significant number of scratches on the front bumper including a sizeable 10x2 inch scratch which seemed to have been caused by hitting cement while parking. As soon as we walked outside and before I got to the car Mr Mancuso acknowledged that the car had exterior imperfections that that he hadn't seen them because the car "was dusty" when he inspected it the first time. I was in total disbelieve. To make matters worse nowhere in the description of the car it was stated that the car had an after-market alarm installed. This alarm went off for no reason when we took the car for a test drive. They offered to remove the alarm but according to the BMW booklet (& a phone call into BMW USA) "alterations or modifications" can void sections of the manufacturer's warranty. In addition Mr Mancuso indicated that it is a requirement I sign a statement that would release JMK of any liability would it be later determined that the car had been involved in an accident. I asked if this was not something that a BMW Authorized dealer be able to determine before offering a vehicles for sale. He said that they would not sell a vehicle without such liability release. In summary, the $1,000.00 cost I incurred by traveling to NJ would have been avoided if Mr Mancuso would have acted in a sensible and professional way while dealing with a long distance client. To add insult to injury when on my way out I decided to express my service experience to the general manager Angelo Zito, he indicated that he did not want to hear anything negative I had to say regarding Mr Mancuso. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2012 535XI FROM JMK BMW. GENERAL SALES MGR. ANGELO ZITO PUT THE DEAL TOGETHER WITH PROFESSIONALISM AND INTEGRITY THAT WAS SECOND TO NONE. Great job! My 2011 X3 had a problem with wind and road noise, and some hesitation on throttle application. As usual for JMK I was given the feeling they were listening to my concerns and I was treated wit noise, and some hesitation on throttle application. My Service Advisor, Jacob Kolasinski and the Service Manager Tino Pereira assured me they would do everything possible to take care of the issues, which in regard to complaints about noise is often not easy. And they did, both the noise and and hesitation gone. Can't do better than that. Also want to thank Hilario Soares who has provided similarly great service in earlier dealings. More
