When i visited the dealership my assigned sales associate, Phil Whitehead, was done on a completely random basis. Interestingly, there are sale associates at the dealership representing both genders (men and women). I was able to quickly know what types of products (new and used) were available on site, and was able to test drive a new (2011) model of interest (2012 models were also available). Due to my professional affiliation with a local employer, i qualified for a discount, and as well an additional discount was negotiated with dealership management. I was completely pleased with the hospitality and transparency with respect to pricing on the product. I did proceed with a purchase of a new vehicle and as well benefited from a competitive loan arrangement for the product (several types of loans: short and long durations were possible). I did not feel any pressure at any point from sales or management personnel. I was completely satisfied with my interaction with personnel at the dealership (sales associates, business manager, and reception personnel). More
My 328i is now almost 2 years old and over the first year, I experienced a couple of small problems with the car (car radio replaced, stop/start engine switch issue). The Performance guys worked with the car (and me) to make sure I was satisfied with the work and the quality of the vehicle. Everything they promised they would do, they did and in a patient "we're here to help" manner. Maurice especially has the patience of a saint and his 'can do/will do' approach to helping this customer was extremely well appreciated. No hesitation in recommending this dealership or the cars. The straight 6 engine in this model is so smooth compared to my previous cars. More
I have been in BMW's since 1973 and I must say that the service I get @ Performance is really the best. I have two BMW's and both are in great condition due to the service. Excellent customer service. I go out of my way to bring my car to Performance BMW because the service and workmanship is far superior to the 'other' dealership which is closer to where I live. I tell ever my car to Performance BMW because the service and workmanship is far superior to the 'other' dealership which is closer to where I live. I tell every BMW driver I know to take their car to Performance, and they are grateful when they do. Whenever I have had a service issue with my car they work with me to figure out what the problem is before they even touch my car. They either give me an awesome loaner vehicle (hello 5-series!), get me to/from work with their courteous shuttle service, or give me a cookie and coffee while I wait. I get my car back fixed right and clean. More
I recently took my BMW X3 to Performance BMW's service department to diagnose and repair a vibration in the drivetrain. The vibration was elusive but the service department worked diligently and methodic department to diagnose and repair a vibration in the drivetrain. The vibration was elusive but the service department worked diligently and methodically to locate and correct the problem, working from the simplest to the most complicated possibilities, eliminating a possible source of the vibration each time. They isolated the problem and corrected it so that the car now drives vibration-free. All this time, my Service Advisor, Patricia, kept me informed of their progress and made sure that I had a good loaner vehicle (a 2011 Z4!) for the duration of the repair. In the end, all that I was charged was for the actual faulty part and the time to replace it, not for any of the diagnosis (probably 7-10 hours). They did a great job and I highly recommend them for BMW service. My previous experiences with this service center have also been very positive. More
All employees are very courteous and careful to explain what they've done though I'm an elderly woman who doesn't understand much or really care. I just want my car to run well. The service department is excellent. I purchased my 530I from this dealership in 2002. For the past ten years the service has been excellent. As busy as they are the attention to detail is excellent. I'm new to the Chapel Hill area and Performance BMW. I absolutely loved my BMW dealership and service department in Florida so Performance BMW had big shoes to fill. And they did! The customer serivice was top notch from appointment set up all the way through to the pick up of my car. JP in the service department was fantastic and kept me informed every step of the way as they performed the trouble shooting of my car. My car was fixed in a timely manner, it's just like new and I am a happy camper! Also, kudos to the auto detailing guys as they also did a great job cleaning my car inside and out. I'm definitely a satisfied customer and look forward to buying my next BMW here. More
