It is a great car and many people will stop and ask me about the car and where we bought it. I always recommend BMW and MINI of South Atlanta because of the wonderful service we received. I always tell them to ask for Amy to help them because she is awesome. Even though everyone we worked with during the process was friendly and knowledgeable, Amy was exceptional. She worked with us over a period of about four months. She always answered our questions, returned our calls, and made us feel like we were special not just a number. Before we looked at MINI's, we knew very little about them. Amy was very patient and educated us on all the options. She even encouraged us to bring my mom's wheelchair in to make sure it would fit in the trunk. We have a car that we love and will not hesitate to buy from South Atlanta again More
I visited this dealership not knowing what to expect from a Mini, I ended up loving the car in part because the car has so many cool features that arnt available in ANY other car, but also because of the ser a Mini, I ended up loving the car in part because the car has so many cool features that arnt available in ANY other car, but also because of the service, Alicia and Simon especially spent so much of their time to help me and my husband pick which one we wanted, explain the differences, and to make the whole experience fun! they literally stayed with us from 1 pm until closing at 9pm the day we made our choice because we had to get insurance and we couldn't make up our mind. They really proved themselves again the next day by spending the same amount of time going over the paperwork and the car and leasing options the second day! i dont think i've ever seen this extent of service from a car dealership and even most service industries before. all the people there were friendly and nice, i unfortunately am bad with names so can't remember all the wonderful people who helped us, but they all deserve credit! I started my extensive search more than a year ago. The MINI was always on my short list of possibilities. I went to the dealership and was met enthusiastically by Amy Varghese. I explained where I was at MINI was always on my short list of possibilities. I went to the dealership and was met enthusiastically by Amy Varghese. I explained where I was at with my search, and that I was doing my homework, and was not looking to purchase until this year. Regardless, she was fully engaged, and we set out to test drive a couple of different models I was considering. After a bunch of fun test drives, we discussed further contact, as I got closer to this year. Throughout the rest of last year, I probably test drove about 6 other models from various dealers. I got very different service from each one, from cordial to down right rude. No one really wanted to spend time dealing with someone in the market a year from now. One salesperson even walked away from me when I asked for a test drive , after I said this! Amy continued to email me every once and awhile with specials, and we discussed meeting again for more test drives this past spring. Out of the 6 or so dealerships I visited, Amy was the only one to keep contact! Needless to say, it was refreshing that someone wanted my business. I met again with Amy, and we test drove over the span of 3 or so hours two models I was looking at. I then spotted the newest of the group, the coupe. I had seen one in person, and not really considered it, but I ended up test driving that too. A week later we met again to finalize my decision. Both Amy and sales manager Jason Powenski, carefully went over every detail on my specially ordered MINI, and made sure every detail was correct. Long story short, you can go elsewhere, but why? My experience with Amy Varghese and MINI of South Atlanta has been by far my best car buying experience ( and I have had ALOT!) ever! I was not just buying a car, I was adopting one, and becoming part of a very enthusiastic family! If they could be rated higher than 5, I would! My only recommendation is to let MINI stand stand on its own merits apart from your BMW dealership. The BMW people make you feel you are making a lesser choice by not wanting a BMW. More
Bought a Mini Cooper map light and sun shield on the 21st of March 2012. Paid by credit card over the phone and received the sun shield one week after purchase. Noted that the map light was missing but of March 2012. Paid by credit card over the phone and received the sun shield one week after purchase. Noted that the map light was missing but thought that they may have been shipped in separate packages. Phoned the shop this morning (April 10th) and gave the reference number and details of purchase. Gentleman on the phone doubted my honesty saying that he had no reason to doubt his employee and made me feel like I was lying about not having received the light. He also mentioned that the said light was packed in the same box with the sunscreen, what was not true as the box was too small to accommodate both parts. I felt the gentleman i spoke to was patronizing and rude. Will not recommend this dealer to anyone. More
Can an upscale car dealer deliver down-home service? This one can. A great, great experience, start to finish. I would happily buy from Amy, Jessica, and Jason again. Full disclosure: I had a less than perfe one can. A great, great experience, start to finish. I would happily buy from Amy, Jessica, and Jason again. Full disclosure: I had a less than perfect experience with MINI of South Atlanta four years ago, when they delivered my MINI incorrectly (left the shipping blocks in my suspension) and I had problems as a result for over a year. In 2008 I definitely found the team less than responsive to my needs. But in 2012, I recommend MINI of South Atlanta without hesitation. Here's the great news: the sales staff has been completely turned over since my last purchase, and for me the difference was like night and day. I decided to give them a second chance and am so glad I did. Amy and Jessica were patient with my multiple weekends of tire-kicking, and Jason was the antithesis of the "let me go ask my manager" sales manager. Accessible, personable, and helpful. There's nothing "wrong" with the other MINI dealers I visited, and some of them certain have fancier stores and such, but ultimately a sales experience comes down to people, and that's where this dealership shines. Be sure to get everything clear with the finance/warranty folks; this is the one part of the experience where you might need to take the time and ask the questions and use precise language to be sure you're getting exactly what you want. But ultimately, their people play fair. I give this dealership a 5. More
I have wanted a Mini for many years but I just never thought it possible. So now I'm 30 years old and married with no kids but have 3 large dogs who like to travel as much as we do. We were turned on to thought it possible. So now I'm 30 years old and married with no kids but have 3 large dogs who like to travel as much as we do. We were turned on to the Mini Countryman by a friend of ours who had just gotten hers and Loved it. We were driving a mid-size SUV and while it was a nice vehicle it was getting a little older and the gas mileage wasn't the best. So I was able to appeal to my husbands frugal side (using the savings on gas argument) and I convinced my hubby to "just look" at one. We went to Mini of South Atlanta first and of course I fell in love! Because the Countryman is a new model there weren't a ton to choose from on the lot for purchasing. I am a techy nerd and am pretty spoiled so I wanted all of the bells and whistles. Plus I love a manual and had to have the bench seat for Beastie hauling. So with that said my requirements were pretty stiff. I left my stipulations with Jessica to call if she found anything matching so I began my search all over the US. I wasn't able to find any in the US that met my requirements. So back to Mini of South Atlanta where Jessica helped us put in our order. Now I don't know about most people but two months is a long time for me. To make things worse we sold the SUV within the first week we had it up for sale so we were down to one vehicle. Jessica was so good at keeping me informed. It made the wait less painful. I had sort of become obsessed with this car who I named Rupert. I joined a forum for Mini enthusiasts and heard so many horrible stories about people not being able to get in contact with their dealer for anything. I just kept bragging on how good my "MiniPerson", I called her, was. Mini offers an Owners Lounge tracking service and it was at least a day behind but Jessica was texting or emailing me any updates as soon as they happened. After production she let me know the boat Rupert was on and the estimated arrival date. Rupert arrived on a Thursday and Jessica knew how bad I wanted to be there to see him, even though I had to wait a day to pick him up, she came in on her day off to take a picture of him and text it to me. He was beautiful, just as I imagined! Friday came and my Hubby and I went to sign the papers to bring him home! When we arrived Rupert was in the show room with a sign saying Rupert is being adopted. I almost cried! The fact that Jessica not only listened to me and accepted my passion about this car, but took the time to put that sweet personal touch in him for when I came to pick him up, meant a lot! Everyone there was so helpful! The finance guy (not my favorite part) was very helpful and explained everything thoroughly. So now I am a proud owner of a beautiful Rupert and am so thankful for the help and genuine care given by Jessica and the rest of the Mini/BMW of South Atlanta. While showing him off the other day, a dent was found and Jessica had it arranged to get fixed today along with getting his stripes put on. I was given a loaner for the day and Rupert looks Awesome all striped and dent free! Big Thanks to Jessica and Mini of South Atlanta!! More
My wife has wanted a Clubman for over a year now and I decided to surprise her with a Mini Xmas present for 2011. I scheduled a test drive with Mini of South Atlanta and Jessica Heming, one of the motorin decided to surprise her with a Mini Xmas present for 2011. I scheduled a test drive with Mini of South Atlanta and Jessica Heming, one of the motoring advisors spent an afternoon going over every aspect of the 2012 Mini Clubman and letting me test drive different options. I knew up front the model and color scheme, but the dealer didnt have one on the lot. Jessica worked with Jason Powenski, the motoring manager to find the exact model I wanted which was in another state and had to be re-routed. It took them a good couple of hours of hard work to get everything setup...it arrived in a couple of days, they had it prepped and paperwork processed for me upfront, so the purchase was extremely easy. Jessica also took time away from her vacation to meet with me and set me up with a lot of great extra gifts - the whole Xmas was Mini-themed - very cool...I surprised my wife by hiding the key fob in a 1:18 scale model Clubman - she was really making fun of the little model Mini, until she opened the boot doors and found the key - her words were "Holy -Insert Expletive Here- KEYS!!!" - This was Jessica's idea and was really fun to see happen. My experience with Mini of South Atlanta was incredible - easy going, intelligent, fun bunch of folks. I also went to Global Imports Mini in North Atlanta - I couldn't deal with these guys - they wouldn't even talk with me and had a really uptight attitude - very uncool. This pepper white Clubman S is just a blast to drive - wifey loves it - needless to say, my friends will have to up thier game - I'll send them to Jessica! More
Amy has kept in email contact with me for about a year now regarding my search for a yellow Mini. When I came in for service on my 2009 Mini, I spoke with Amy about how I'd like to get a new Mini. She lis now regarding my search for a yellow Mini. When I came in for service on my 2009 Mini, I spoke with Amy about how I'd like to get a new Mini. She listened to my "must haves," and found me the perfect used 2011 Mini hardtop. The solution met my "must haves" and fit my budget. She was very patient with me (this process took me several hours to make a decision) was not pushy at all. Ms. Kimble in finance and Mr. Barrett the service manager were also especially kind and professional. Thank you all. More
I like this dealership, but I would not use Bryce Hahs for service. He consistently recommends items that are not needed. He sets time slots that are not achieveable. He adds extra costs. He says he w for service. He consistently recommends items that are not needed. He sets time slots that are not achieveable. He adds extra costs. He says he will call you back and often does not. He certainly is not a good fit for the rest of this dealership. More
Where do I start? Brought an older (97) 318 in for check engine light on The mis-diagnosed my car and were happy to take my money. They wanted close to $100 to change parts that at extreme mark up would be $400-$500. The bad part is to change these parts would take removing 2 screws and 4 hose clamps! That's $500-$600 for less than 10 minutes of work! DO NOT GO THERE! I did that work myself and it did not fix the car. Bottom line is they couldn't troubleshoot a lawn mower with the latest Fluke meter! More
