I did not have a service appointment, however, Kristina was able to schedule my vehicle for service when my regular Service Adviser was out sick. She was wonderful and provided a BMW loaner car. He took the time and listened to my lack of confidence with the prior dealer. I own 2 2015 BMW. Mr Fastman acted immediately. He introduced me to Mr Grant. Mr Grant walked outside with my wife and explained the service he was going to do with her 650i. Pointed out additional items and he was concerned with the fixing and doing the scheduled repairs. He did so much more than the scheduled repairs and was extremely concern about our customer experience. Mr did the same with my X5 After the service Mr Fastman made sure both my wife and I were extremely satisfied..They treated us as though they sold us the cars and we were part of their BMW family THANK YOU MR FASTMAN AND MR GRANT!!!!!!!! This is the dealership I will ALWAYS buy and service my BMWs More
First-class customer service, high efficiency and integrity I have been fortunate to have Thomas Grant as my Service Advisor on my last three service visits to BMW Silver Spring. My most recent visit entailed a I have been fortunate to have Thomas Grant as my Service Advisor on my last three service visits to BMW Silver Spring. My most recent visit entailed a major repair to my adorable 328i and I was a bit torn between whether to proceed with the repair or trade in my car in for a newer model. Thomas ensured that I understood the Technician's mechanical diagnosis of the problem and he patiently explained the pros and cons of the options going forward. He diligently answered all my questions and did not pressure me toward a decision in one direction or another. After much deliberation, I concluded that it was best to repair my car now, and am at peace with my decision. Due to the complex nature of the work involved, the estimated completion date was realistic. The car was washed, vacuumed and ready as they promised - no false promises on their part. On a follow up visit, I appreciated their excellent commitment to their parts and service warranty. Many, many thanks, Thomas Grant and BMW Silver Spring for restoring my confidence in an auto repair shop. More

I received an e-mail to make an appointment, which took less than a minute. Upon visiting the service desk at the dealership the day of the appointment, Thomas Grant took care of all aspects of the visit with precision and skill. Servicing was completed in full before I expected. All of that merits that highest possible rating here on DealerRater, without at doubt. And as icing on the cake, BMW of Silver Spring provided me an i3 loaner car. Sweet! More

Swindle a Customer with False Service I just had a recall completed. All was going smoothly until I was about to leave, and the "Service Consultant" stated that I have some needed service I just had a recall completed. All was going smoothly until I was about to leave, and the "Service Consultant" stated that I have some needed service due to oil leaks. 1) Replace valve cover gaskets (found oil leaking oil onto ex. manifold), $464.96. 2) Replace crankcase vent valve and hoses (crankcase vent valve and hose is leaking oil), $763.28. 3) Replace front lower control arm bushings\ (front lower bushings is coming apart), $599.96. 4) Replace rear differential side seals (both rear differential side seals are leaking oil), $504.96. Total = $2,526.15 All suggested services are typical routine preventive maintenance to be performed based on the mileage of the vehicle. What they didn’t know is that all suggested services were completed less than a year ago; there are no leaks, no codes, and I just had the intake smoked to check for leaks. Service Consultants are directed by management to make money for the dealership, by maintenance suggestions, or to push the customer towards the purchase of a new/newer vehicle. Well, at least they showed me how much money I saved, which made me smile. I was going to give them 5 stars for the recall service, but after the BS suggested service. They deserve 2 stars for trying to swindle a customer. Perhaps this was just the Service Consultant’s sole actions, but I know her actions are directed by management. More

Notwithstanding the mechanical issues I have had with the car, Kristina Williams, the service representative I have been assigned to is generally, rude, demeaning, and obstinate. Whenever, there is a point of discussion, it's always the customer's fault. I have personally been accused of driving improperly, not taking responsibility of my actions amongst other accusations, for example. I don't believe Kristina portrays BMW Silver Spring in a favorable light. What's unfortunate for the dealership is that I am in the market for a new car and was considering a 235i. If I buy one, it will not be from BMW Silver Spring. More
