A first and mostlikely, last service experience. Imagining that a local esteemed BMW dealer would provide the pinnacle of excellence; expectation fell far short of reality. Beware of the possibility that with your first visit, you'll be shocked by "recommended services" implying significant problems with your vehicle, regardless of your vehicle previously exhibiting none of the recommended repair symptoms whatsoever. It is said that on any given slow day, the management of any given automotive service department may likely invent required maintenance issues; possibly shanghaiing unsuspecting, innocent customers who have incorrectly placed their faith in the business. Thus and to reiterate, caveat emptor. The possibility of your being "strong-armed" into over $5,000.00 of unnecessary repairs plainly exists, possibly due to unscrupulous employees needing to generate maximum revenue to support high overhead for the dealership. My BMW X5 has less than 40k miles and was in great condition. I left the door open accidentally a few days ago. We don't drive often since we all are working from home now. When we found out the car w condition. I left the door open accidentally a few days ago. We don't drive often since we all are working from home now. When we found out the car was out of battery completely. So we had our car towed to BMW Shrewsbury. Even the tow guy from AAA told us it's just a small problem with battery running out. They have seen this a lot. But BMW Shrewsbury sent us a whole list recommending around $4,000 parts to be replaced or fixed. They charge battery replacement $528.28, Battery Ground Strap: $565.12, and other $3,000 something. So we picked battery replacement $528.28, Battery Ground Strap: $565.12. So today, I went to pick up the car, when I started the car, all the warning lights are on, the dashboard shows a lot of parts are malfunctioning. The wipers keeps running like crazy. I asked them what is going on? Woman named Leanne Rattey said, you didn't pick all the recommended parts so we cannot guarantee your car would work properly! My car never had any problem never had one single warning light on except the service due light once and it's normal. Now, the dashboard like a Christmas tree all the warning lights are on! They denied they did anything wrong and insist I need to pay more money like they recommended to fix it. I am not a car expert, but I believe this is not a normal situation. My car was working perfectly. I don't think a dead battery would cost a total damage to my car. P.S. they have 10% off couple on their website, so I told Ms. Rattey please apply that to my invoice. But when we got our bill, nothing was applied. It's not a big deal, but it shows something definitely. I wouldn't recommend this car service to anyone. It's like a scam to me. A story like"If you don't spend more money, we make your car a nightmare." I schedule a service from other garage. I will see what they did to my car. More
My car was towed to this dealership for a flat tire repair ( a failed sidewall on a run flat) it was closest to my home. I didn’t buy my 2022 bmw 330 from shrewsbury because the sales person I work wit repair ( a failed sidewall on a run flat) it was closest to my home. I didn’t buy my 2022 bmw 330 from shrewsbury because the sales person I work with was rude, arrogant, and dismissive. The service department was an even worse experience. They first told me I needed 4 new tires and a new rim, but then discovered I had purchased a wheel and tire protection warranty. Then it took days of back and forth for them to tell me the rim is good and the tires are covered. They called told me the car was ready and when I arrived it was not there and was not ready. The service team members I spoke with were dismissive and said to try back tomorrow. When I picked the car up the next day the wheels were covered in tire paste, the wheel weights were a different color from the rims and the adhesive from the old weights was not removed; the car looked terrible. They cleaned it up and after another 30 minutes I was on my way. Only the wheels were not balance and the car vibrated at speeds above 30 mph. Additionally, the tire would not keep air pressure for more than 24 hours. I brought the car back to shrewsbury and they told me the rim was bent and fixing it was not going to be cover because the tire held air ( it didn’t) so they suggested straightening the rim, but I would have to pay which I did. Service called and said they could not fix it, I have to buy a new rim. If I wanted to persue this any farther I would have to bring it to the dealer I bought the car from; herb chambers in Sudbury. I brought it there. They fixed it. BMW SHERSBURY. Does not have the talent or the equipment to repair a tire and rim properly. Thief staff lied to me so many times during the process it was ridiculous. If you care about your vehicle’s service. SKIP OVER SHREWSBURY BMW; something is VERY WRONG THERE More
