My father had a positive experience purchasing a 330ci from BMW of Sarasota in 2002. Therefore before purchasing my M3 I decided to take the car to them for a pre purchase inspection (PPI). I scheduled th from BMW of Sarasota in 2002. Therefore before purchasing my M3 I decided to take the car to them for a pre purchase inspection (PPI). I scheduled the PPI a week in advance, when the car was delivered they had no record of my appointment. I was charged $350 and told the car only needed maintenance in addition to repairs that I specifically pointed out to them. I like to DIY, so I decided to purchase the car, knowing that I can perform all the basic maintenance. Since taking possession of the vehicle I've discovered that the car has significant rust that is easily identifiable when the car is elevated. The previous owner told me that he installed HID fog light bulbs, resulting in dash warning lights. Turns out both bi-xenon lights are bad and the fogs are not the issue. When I elevated the car I found a cheap aftermarket ballast zip tied to the frame. I'm convinced they didn't even look at this car. I requested my PPI report on multiple occasions, I received nothing. I successfully disputed the credit card charge, but I lost $1000s repairing this car. John Tremble told that he personally inspected the under carriage while the car was on the lift ... I now know this was a completely dishonest statement. Do not have your car serviced here, especially if you didn't purchase a vehicle from them. More
