Top of the line Customer Service I went in for a normal service call for an oil change and other minimal items. I was in need of some help a few times while I was waiting and Chad Mc I went in for a normal service call for an oil change and other minimal items. Got me serviced, replace my Run-flat tire with a NEW tire, only paying the deductible! I am thankful I purchased the "tire insurance". It truly made a difference $53 compared to over $400. Thank you Naycolle for helping me get in, the service valet for getting me registered, explaining where to go and what to expect AND Jessica for following through! I am very impressed by your effort. Expertise with a radiant smile Sarasota BMW is a busy place in case you were not aware. That said, to be greeted and counseled by Jessica and or Maria is a uplifting experience. Their technical knowledge is amazing, the willingness to achieve a solution, the friendly spirited and cooperative communication is truly rare in todays service consultants.I look forward to my visit to Sarasota BMW to share their enthusiasm.. There have been occasions where i needed to meet with technicians to answer complicated matters. Once again cheerfully facilitated by superior service from Maria or Jessica. That is the good part of the story. The challenging part is that this business is really big and very busy. It ain't no quick oil change station. Quality service takes time, so get over it and make accommodations. They do a a long list of safety checks and wash your car. Does the garage down the street do the same thing.... not a chance. So be prepared for a wait or make prudent arrangements. Your service consultant will tell you how long the wait will be. I could go on about price matching the competition, service discounts by email and sometimes a courtesy car or transpiration arrangements. . Oil Change took 3 hours??? I schedules a simple oil change for 9am and told Fernando I did NOT want a car wash. He did give me the "first time service" discount and checked the power windows for no charge but I don't understand why it takes 3 hours to change the oil and vacuum the carpets. Well the carpets were not vacuumed at all after Fernando told me that was the delay after the three hour wait. They were dirty when I got into the car but I didn't say anything because I very late for a doctors appointment. I probable won't return for simple oil changes. More

Questionable labor charge practices I came in for a Dinan tune to find out that I was being charged double for labor. I came in today for a Dinan tune for my M3 after receiving a estimat I came in for a Dinan tune to find out that I was being charged double for labor. I came in today for a Dinan tune for my M3 after receiving a estimate several months ago for almost $500.00 when I did the tune on my X5. Today's estimate from Seth was nearly $800 and when I pointed out the issue, the advisor offered to cut the labor in half. This was still unacceptable since it was way more than I was quoted. Of course, the advisor that originally quoted me the lower price has left the business and couldn't be reached on the phone or any quote of the original price. I left without having the tune being done feeling disgusted with them since this isn't the first time they have tried to price gouge me on labor. Upon calling Dinan corporate they advised that the labor should be only 1 hour maximum and not 2 that I was likely being quoted for originally. I find this totally unacceptable business practice to charge people more because they may drive a nicer vehicle. Back in January, BMW of Sarasota's parts department sent me a set of floor mats for an M5 that I never ordered and was done by them by mistake. I called them and offered to take them to a UPS store so they could be shipped back to them. I took time out of my day to do the ethically right thing and return an item that was sent to me by mistake. I could of very easily have sold them online and pocketed the profits and they would have never known. Point being, if I do the ethically right thing, shouldn't you when you charge people? Like I previously said, this isn't the first time in that they tried to charge me $500 to replace a fog light on my 335i. I pointed out that the part is $130 and labor is ten minutes, so how is it $500.00? This is why I don't use them for service typically and I never buy vehicles from them because they up-charge on everything. I certainly will spread the word about their business practices and make sure people know to stay away from them More
