My review focuses on the service department. Connor is always helpful when I take my car for service or a problem with my X5. Today was no different. My rear window wiper was not working and he had servic always helpful when I take my car for service or a problem with my X5. Today was no different. My rear window wiper was not working and he had service diagnosis the problem. The result was the motor was not connected therefore, it did not work. While I was there he also checked my service record. It was time for service. He suggested we take care of it today so I would not need to return in the near future. I am happy to say, Connor makes going to the service department a positive experience. Thank you Connor and the service department!! More
I've been to several other service departments for BMW throughout Southern California, as I've moved quite a bit. I always find myself coming back in to the San Luis Obispo location. Not only is the staff throughout Southern California, as I've moved quite a bit. I always find myself coming back in to the San Luis Obispo location. Not only is the staff honest, professional, and trustworthy; they're extremely knowledgable and answer all of my questions up front. Every time I have an issue with my X3, Connor takes excellent care of my car and myself. Given that I've had horrible service in the past at other locations, it's a relief to walk in and see Connor and know that I'm in good hands. More

Great experience at BMW of SLO. Everyone was so friendly before I even got in the door. Richard was very prompt and helpful when my car needed some maintenance. I would like to sincerely thank Kevin, Jose, and the whole team at BMW of San Luis Obispo for the amazing experience with the purchase of my first BMW. I have purchased a few cars from other dealers, bu whole team at BMW of San Luis Obispo for the amazing experience with the purchase of my first BMW. I have purchased a few cars from other dealers, but I have never had such a personalized and special treatment like that of BMW of San Luis Obispo. Kevin is awesome and took the time to go over all the amazing features of my X3 and made sure that I didn't leave the dealership until I was familiar with all its functions. I am so glad that I took the drive out to BMW of San Luis Obispo and grateful to Kevin for making the experience one that I will always remember. More
I'm new to the area and it was great discussing my car's maintenance history with Richard. He was attentive and professional as proceeded to discuss the process of diagnosing issue with my car. After the diagnosis, we went through. each issue and came up with a plan of action that was acceptable to me. The work was done in a timely fashion and I'm more than happy with the results. I was a loyal Slo BMW customer who has purchased and leased over 11 BMW's, but the last several years (since new ownership took over) I've noticed customer service has gone down hill. The last straw leased over 11 BMW's, but the last several years (since new ownership took over) I've noticed customer service has gone down hill. The last straw for me was when I went to turn in my current lease and wanted to purchase the vehicle. First, they didn't even want to handle the buyout. They wanted me to mail it in to BMW. I told them I did not want to do that because I wanted to pay the sales tax so I wouldn't have to go into DMV later. Slo BMW continued to tell me that I could only do my pay off via mail until I threatened to call BMW corporate and complain. When they finally relented and agreed that I could come in and pay off my car, they told me I would be required to pay a $995 inspection fee...on my own car that I was keeping! After telling them that was ridiculous and I was not paying an inspection fee, I left and promptly called BMW of Santa Maria and asked their process for lease buyouts. (I did not tell them what Slo bmw’s process was) Not only did Santa Maria BMW not charge me an inspection fee, but they also waived document fees and emailed e-sign documents to me so I didn't have to go to Santa Maria. That is the kind of customer service that brings buyer loyalty. Sadly, it seems that Slo BMW only cares about their bottom line now, not the customer experience. So if you're in the market for a BMW, I would suggest you skip San Luis Obispo BMW and go to Santa Maria BMW if you want the kind of excellent service that is supposed to go with the purchase of a luxury vehicle. I'm from Los Angeles and wasn't able to see the car I was interested in person but, Kevin was considerate enough to send me videos of the car and any pictures I requested. He wasn't hesitant to answer any questions regarding the car and even fixed some of the things I wasn't sure about in the car. I wasn't able to purchase the vehicle, but I recommend anyone thinking of purchasing a vehicle to ask for Kevin Nyhus! Thank you again Kevin! More
