Shocked + Disappointed The car was paid for. The terms agreed to. Even Insured. So what happened here ? A week later I call and inquire why my car was not delivered and why the car I ALREAD The terms agreed to. Even Insured. So what happened here ? A week later I call and inquire why my car was not delivered and why the car I ALREADY PAID FOR was still up for sale. What the heck does that even mean ? Who would do that ? Sell a car that has already been sold and paid for ? I was told that whoever comes in and wants to buy it can. Say what now ? I already PAID for the car in FULL. And said as much and expected to be already delivered or at least contacted for ETA / arrangement of delivery. Very weird dealership where when they got your money they stop taking calls or returning calls, and actually Renege on deals, still keeping your money. This had a five car alarm going for me. Worried if they were playing take the money and run. A) Car was PAID IN FULL B) All paper work signed C) Agreed to terms to deliver D) Did not deliver E) Made a SOLD car still available for others to buy A CAR THAT I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR Is this even legal. ? Holy shady used car dealer tricks BatMan. After a couple minutes of realizing this on the phone, the dealer says "we're not gonna deliver it you have to come out here." Say what now ? Come out there ? Those weren't the terms of the sale. This eCAR has a range of about 60 miles. Standard charging makes for a long charge. I'm not gonna do that. Those weren't the terms of the sale anyway. Moreover the Target directly next door declared they will be closing their store because it is unsafe there next to BMW. Super shady / super violent neighborhood. Go out there ? Not happening. San Francisco streets even on a google directions shows extremely dangerous scenes of crime in progress. But that's a moot point. The point is that the dealer reneged on the deal. On a deal that is already supposed to be closed ! Took the money, didnt deliver and when asked why they dont return calls, they said, oh we're working on deals much bigger than yours. Nice. Real nice. At this point these guys have my money for this call PAID IN FULL for about 3 weeks. And did not produce a car. They aren't returning calls either. Not cool. Not cool at all. Had they delivered on the car there would be no such review. So I contacted BMW HQ and they said "Every BMW dealer is independently owned, contact the GM" So I did. I contacted the GM here. He heard the whole story and said your refund for cancelled transaction is in the mail. The initial sales rep I worked with went the extra mile. No complaints w her. The subsequent "Sales Manager" sinked the deal by not measuring up to expected obligation of a sales professional at a BMW dealership. The kind of shady used car sales behavior you expect - with other used car dealers. With BMW ? Major metropolitan city ? This is inexcusable. San Francisco is growing a very shady reputation. Unfortunately BMW is also being dragged in. Why are you BMW re-selling a car that's already been sold ? The shocking part about all this is that whereas used car dealers have a reputation less than politicians, I did not expect this from BMW, whose wings you are operating under and expect some sort of better performance than the anything goes typical used car dealership here. Disappointed with BMW, the GM, and the Sales Manager for doing take the money and run or at least making it look that way. Not cool. So totally not cool. The buck stops with BMW. That is the brand that brought me in. I would never buy a car from a used car dealership because of crazy rotten tricks, like the ones pulled here. I guess the BMW dealership here is more a Used Car dealership where anything goes. Not Cool BMW ! Not cool. More
