Best service department around. I live within 10 miles of two other BMW dealerships and choose to drive 40 miles to have BMW Salem care for my two X5s. I will always go back to BMW Salem for purchases and service. They don't 'panic' you about things they find and they are reasonable about prioritizing recommendations for repairs. I do miss the pre-covid days of complimentary breakfast and lunch orders for the while you wait customers! Chris Wright took care of my Volvos and BMWs for almost 20 years. More

I would recommend, with a caveat to be very careful about what you’re getting yourself into. The quality of work is excellent. However, on my recent visit, I believe they misdiagnosed my issue on a chassis restriction error. They originally thought it was an air ride bag leaking. After $1000, the air popped up less than a half mile down the road. I u-turned, took the car back to find out it was a compressor issue. Another $2125. However, they credited to $1,700. Told me the air ride bag needed to be replaced anyway. Causes me to be very skeptical next time. Had I known it would’ve been a $3000 repair, I may have traded the car in. There cost a repair as much lower than $3000 and they could’ve sold a different car. More
