I drove from Bend to BMW, Salem, for a repair that required a $10 spring. Bend BMW insisted it required a $1,000 “assembly” which included the spring because “Corporate says so.” I trust the company required a $10 spring. Bend BMW insisted it required a $1,000 “assembly” which included the spring because “Corporate says so.” I trust the company (mechanic) that can do the job right rather than the company who plays to the money! I was given a loaner and drove back to Bend the same day. The repair cost $742 (the Bend quote was $3,064). By the way, folks, read the BMW forums. This same repair is sometimes covered by Corporate as a “good will gesture” because, in my opinion, it’s a design issue - a candidate for recall - and Corporate hopes to avoid a class action suit. Service Manager, Chase Petersen, knows his mechanics and set the bar for customer service to a higher level than we’re used to seeing in any industry. Kudos to him and the whole team at Salem BMW. (I also drove from Bend to buy my 2017 series x-1 at Salem BMW.) More

the willful neglect of not properly diagnosing the slipping and surging problems of my transmission by not placing my car on the rack and checking the fluid. I had ordered a fluid change and service a slipping and surging problems of my transmission by not placing my car on the rack and checking the fluid. I had ordered a fluid change and service advisor Joe Gomez decided against it stating it may make it worse. he also stated my transmission was going bad and not to invest money into my car. I went to a transmission Professional and he diagnosed it and found it only needed a transmission oil pan kit. I contacted the service manager Chase Petersen and he began to cover up for his service advisor and started a misinformation campaign. he is not to be trusted! More
