I've been working with this dealership for about 14 years and I just purchased my fourth BMW through them. I usually lease my vehicles but this time I purchased. I've worked with other dealers in the past and I just purchased my fourth BMW through them. I usually lease my vehicles but this time I purchased. I've worked with other dealers in the past but I'm very satisfied with BMW Gallery Norwell for a number of reasons. First, The GM, Avery is solid and if you ever have an issue with a car (If you drive any car you're eventually going to have an issue like a dented wheel from a pothole etc). They also are very fair with their pricing. Next, the service department is excellent (Joe) and they'll provide rides to the train station or set you up with a temporary vehicle while yours is being serviced. The car always comes back clean and problem free. Lastly, Katie Ellis is excellent with reaching out to customers when its time for your car to come in for service (BMW dealers get an electronic message from the car's computer when its time for a service) and with overall customer relations. Also, if you're on the south shore its a great location right off Route 3. Oh, I almost forgot...they have the best cars....BMWs! More

Brought my 2006 325xi in due to a grinding noise I was hearing. Worked with Joe, the service adviser, and left it for the day. When I came to pick it up, Joe told me they checked everything "thoroughly" hearing. Worked with Joe, the service adviser, and left it for the day. When I came to pick it up, Joe told me they checked everything "thoroughly" and found nothing. Within minutes of leaving the dealership, I could hear the noise again. Went back the next morning, and had the service foreman, Pat, get in the car so I could reproduce the noise. I pulled out of the garage, hit the brakes, and immediately he knew the issue. This was all within FIVE SECONDS. Yet the day before no one heard anything. Here's the kicker.. the brake pads and rotors were worn out! So you're telling me that the technician, whose name I believe is Hobbs, spent all day "thoroughly" checking out the vehicle, missed a brake pad/rotor issue. Any mechanic in America can find this within seconds! Clearly Hobbs is not trained properly OR I was lied to. This wasn't a noise issue anymore, but a SAFETY ISSUE. That's a big deal to me. Ted, the service manager, and Pat were helpful in getting the issue fixed. Even though I live near the dealership, I assure you I will be taking my car back to BMW in Sudbury where they treat me like a BMW owner should be treated. More
Should have read reviews before buying my 3-series here. Even though the salesman, Greg Smith, was wonderful, their service center is beyond horrible. Make sure to have someone take a 2nd look at any service they perform on your car (because you definitely don't get what you (over)pay for). I brought my car in for vibration and was told it was due to a missing weight. The next day Direct Tire put it on a lift and showed me the 2 bent/cracked rims that were actually causing the vibration. How BMW of Norwell missed this, I have no clue! Especially since the new weight was put about an inch away from the bend in one of the tires, and they said they got the tire to balance and the vibration was gone... A bent wheel doesn't balance, and the vibration was still there. BMW had me bring it back in (after waiting 4 days for them to even respond). I left with even more problems after the 2nd service (missing old rim in trunk, noises that weren't there before, still vibrating (worse then before), overcharged, etc...). It took almost 2 weeks for them to respond back to me (after having to get corporate involved), and the issues still aren't resolved since the service manager, Ted Etchings, won't return phone calls. Don't even waste your time or money with this dealership! They definitely do not value their customers; you can get better service elsewhere. More

For anyone looking to do business with a reputable dealer - look elsewhere. After purchasing four (4) BMW's from this dealer, and personally escorting two friends to do the same over the past several years - look elsewhere. After purchasing four (4) BMW's from this dealer, and personally escorting two friends to do the same over the past several years - I have become a BMW Gallery "expert" of sorts. Once you drive off with your new or pre-owned vehicle, you are no longer appreciated as a customer, treated with respect, or managed effectively by the service department. After many years of ill-treatment, misdiagnosis, over-charging, underperformance, and down-right rude behavior (especially by none other than the Sales Manager himself, Avery Trumbo, and the young, with bad-attitude receptionist Rori) I'm taking my business elsewhere. In my profession, there are many collegues who either have purchased BMW's or will be doing so in the near future. I can assure you - they will not be doing so from BMW Gallery of Norwell. More
Many of these reviews say it all - great on sales, horrible thereafter. Lot's of smiles when you go for service, but they are far more interested in up-sell than diagnosing and delivering the service horrible thereafter. Lot's of smiles when you go for service, but they are far more interested in up-sell than diagnosing and delivering the services needed. On more than one occasion they have recommended service that they had previously performed and charged me for - I told them to check their records and they basically said "oops". Bottom line was they either did not do the work they had already charged me for (illegal), or did not properly inspect the car before recommending additional service (a more likely scenario - not illegal, but unethical at best). Strongly recommend getting a second opinion before you turn these guys loose under your hood and they charge you thousands of dollarssfor work that may not be needed. Beware the up-sell here. More
